- Reach and maintain the high standards of customer service and sales productivity.
- Maintain the existing customer base and develop new customers by keeping accurate and detailed customer records and communicating with customers when necessary.
- Monitor individual and store daily, weekly and monthly sales records and strive to reach and exceed these targets.
- Ensure availability of merchandise and services by ordering stock from head office and actioning inter branch transfers when required.
- Identify current and future customer requirements by establishing a rapport with potential and actual customers and offering the highest levels of customer service.
- Monitor pricing and discount policies daily by reviewing price structures sent by head office and obtaining the necessary authorizations wherever the Company policy may require it.
- Maintain the stability and reputation of the Company by complying with all legal requirements.
- Make sure the store is properly merchandised, neat and clean at all times.
- Colour co-ordination must be appealing and attract attention.
- The concept must be understood and merchandizing stories must be put together.
- Displays must be strong in order to sell.
- Execute finishing touches such as tucking price tags away.
- Ensure stock is rotated regularly to prevent stock loss due to fading and wear and tear.
- Follow all before store opening and after store closing procedures.
- Report any maintenance issues within the store to your Store Manager or head office timeously.
- Secure merchandise by implementing the security systems and measures dictated by the company as well as doing regular and accurate stock counts as per company policy.
- Watch for and prevent shop lifting.
- Maintain a harmonious, healthy and productive working environment.
- Assist and work together with all staff members to ensure targets are reached.
- Know the selling points, features, styles, colours, sizes and fit of all merchandise.
- Follow all operational and personnel policies and procedures.
- Maintain good and positive communication with head office, line managers as well as fellow staff members.
- Provide the highest standards of after sales service.
- Comply with the Company’s dress code.
