Job Purpose
To support the establishment and ongoing financial management through effective financial processing, reporting, and control implementation. The role includes setting up finance processes and systems, ensuring compliance with IFRS and PPS Group standards (including IFRS 15 and IFRS 16), and delivering high-quality financial insights to support decision-making during the entity’s build and growth phase.
Education:
Experience:
- 1–2 years’ experience in a commercial finance environment
- Strong technical knowledge of IFRS
- Strong IFRS knowledge, including IFRS 15 (revenue recognition) and IFRS 16 (leases)
- Ability to interpret contracts and apply technical accounting judgment
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Experience with financial systems implementation or exposure to ERP environments (preferred)
- Ability to operate in a new or evolving environment with changing requirements
Skill and Competencies

- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of CPM and MS D365 is an advantage

Key Responsibilities:
Reconciliation & Reporting
- Reconcile all balance sheet accounts to third-party documentation
- Preparation of monthly journals including revenue and lease-related accounting in line with IFRS 15 and IFRS 16
- Resolve outstanding issues promptly
- Prepare monthly management accounts and variance commentary
- Prepare quarterly board reports for the relevant entities
- Compile annual financial statements in line with IFRS
- Respond to audit queries
- Perform ad-hoc tasks to support strategic decision-making / on-going projects
Financial Systems & Process Implementation
- Support implementation of financial systems, ensuring alignment with IFRS 15 revenue recognition and IFRS 16 lease accounting requirements
- Assist in designing finance processes that support accurate contract and lease tracking
- Support the application of IFRS 15, including assessment of revenue streams, performance obligations, and timing of recognition
- Support the application of IFRS 16, including identification and accounting for leases and related balances
- Maintain appropriate documentation of assumptions and judgments for both revenue and leases to support audit and reporting
- Assist in designing and documenting finance processes and workflows
- Perform system testing (UAT), data validation and issue resolution
- Ensure alignment of systems with PPS Group standards and reporting requirements
- Support ongoing optimisation and enhancement of financial systems post-implementation
Budget
- Prepare budgets and coordinate with stakeholders
- Develop budget presentations for Exco and Board meetings
- Provide commentary and input on central costs and revenues
Strategic Orientation
- Deliver key management reports to Exco and the Board
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and high standards in financial reporting
- Maintain a strong control environment and general ledger integrity
