Role Purpose
The SHEQ Manager will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s Quality Management System and SHEQ strategy. This role ensures compliance with ISO standards, drives operational excellence, reduces defects and waste, and enhances customer satisfaction through robust quality systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and implement the company’s quality strategy, policies, and systems.
- Lead continuous improvement and Lean initiatives across the business.
- Align quality objectives with operational and business goals.
- Manage quality budgets, reporting, and capital expenditure input.
Quality Management System (QMS)
- Maintain and improve ISO 9001:2015 and company-wide QMS compliance.
- Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and non-conformance resolution.
- Develop and enforce quality standards, procedures, and documentation.
- Ensure quality from product development through to customer delivery.
Quality Control & Compliance
- Oversee product quality assurance and inspection processes.
- Manage NCR processes and ensure root cause analysis and resolution.
- Reduce customer complaints, defects, scrap, and cost of quality.
- Ensure compliance with ISO, legal, and customer requirements.
Health, Safety & Environmental (SHE)
- Develop and implement health & safety policies and procedures.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Manage incident reporting, investigations, and corrective actions.
Audits & Reporting
- Lead internal and external audits (ISO, customer, and regulatory).
- Provide KPI reporting and quality performance analysis to EXCO.
- Ensure accurate data reporting on quality, safety, and compliance metrics.
People Management
- Lead, coach, and develop the SHEQ/Quality team.
- Drive performance, training, and continuous capability development.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Manage quality-related customer complaints and feedback.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders on quality matters.
Minimum Requirements
- Degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Mandatory: Extensive experience in an injection moulding and manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience as a SHEQ or Quality Manager in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and quality systems.
- Experience in audits, NCR systems, and continuous improvement methodologies.
