Role Overview
We are seeking a professional, well-presented, and highly organized Receptionist to join a busy legal practice in Mbombela. The successful candidate will serve as the first point of contact for clients and visitors while providing administrative and office support to attorneys and legal staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist clients, visitors, and service providers professionally.
- Manage incoming calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate legal professionals.
- Schedule consultations, meetings, and appointments.
- Handle client correspondence and follow-up communication.
- Manage incoming and outgoing emails, courier deliveries, and mail.
- Prepare, scan, copy, file, and distribute legal documentation.
- Maintain physical and electronic filing systems.
- Assist attorneys with general administrative tasks and document management.
- Capture and update client information accurately on internal systems.
- Maintain office supplies and coordinate stationery orders.
- Assist with the preparation of legal packs and supporting documentation.
- Ensure confidential handling of sensitive client information.
- Support attorneys with document tracking and record keeping.
- Liaise with courts, government departments, and external stakeholders when required.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Certificate or Diploma in Office Administration, Business Administration, Legal Secretary, or related qualification advantageous.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a Receptionist, Front Desk, Administrator, or Personal Assistant role.
- Previous experience within a law firm, attorneys' practice, conveyancing firm, or legal environment will be highly advantageous.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional telephone etiquette.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work with confidential information.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Previous exposure to legal documentation and legal filing processes.
- Familiarity with legal practice management systems.
- Experience dealing with attorneys, advocates, courts, or legal stakeholders.
- Residing in Mbombela, White River, or surrounding areas within Mpumalanga.
Pay: R7 000,00 - R9 500,00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Nelspruit, Mpumalanga: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
Experience:
