Are you passionate about making a difference in the community and guiding an organisation dedicated to providing palliative care and essential support services? Tygerberg Hospice, a leader in compassionate care, Integrated Home-Based Care, and Transitional Care, is seeking dynamic and dedicated individuals to join our Board. We are currently looking for experts in the following portfolios:
1. Clinical Affairs
Qualifications:
- Medical or nursing degree with extensive experience in palliative care, hospice services, or home-based care.
- Proven leadership in healthcare management or clinical governance.
- Ability to provide strategic direction and oversight of clinical services, including home-based and transitional care.
2. Finance
Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent qualification.
- Strong background in financial management, auditing, and strategic financial planning.
- Experience in non-profit financial oversight is advantageous.
3. Marketing & Fundraising
Qualifications:
- Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Proven track record in fundraising, donor relations, and brand management.
- Ability to innovate and drive successful marketing campaigns to support our mission, including promoting our integrated care services.
4. Investment
Qualifications:
- Experience in investment management, portfolio diversification, and risk assessment.
- Strong financial acumen and strategic planning skills.
- Background in guiding non-profits towards sustainable financial growth.
5. Education, Research & Training
Qualifications:
- Academic background in education, public health, or research.
- Experience in developing training programmes and conducting impactful research.
- Ability to align educational initiatives with the organisation’s mission, including training for home-based and transitional care services.
6. Human Resources
Qualifications:
- Degree in Human Resource Management or Industrial Psychology.
- Expertise in talent management, organisational development, and HR policy.
- Experience in non-profit HR management is a plus.
7. Civil Society Representative
Qualifications:
- Active involvement in community outreach, advocacy, or social justice.
- Strong understanding of the needs and dynamics of the communities we serve.
- Ability to connect with and represent civil society in Board deliberations.
