Nelspruit area, Mpumalanga Province – South Africa: Seeking a hands-on Farm Manager to oversee day-to-day farm operations. The successful candidate will be mechanically strong, physically capable, able to lead a team, live on-site, and ensure equipment and systems run efficiently and safely.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Agricultural Diploma/Degree advantageous.
- Citrus production experience.
- Livestock experience.
- Maintenance orientated.
- Ability to motivate and work with staff.
- Strong communication skills.
- Computer literate.
- Valid driver’s license.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Manage daily operations
- Coordinate routine tasks across the farm.
- Monitor production schedules and workflow.
- Ensure work is completed safely and on time.
Oversee equipment and maintenance
- Handle preventative maintenance and basic repairs.
- Manage heavy machinery operations safely.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs when needed.
Lead and supervise
- Provide clear direction to staff/crew.
- Support training and safe work practices.
- Maintain strong communication across the operation.
Problem-solving and troubleshooting
- Identify issues early and implement clear communication to the senior management.
- Adapt to changing conditions (weather, workload, etc.).
