# Kitchen Manager **Location:** Northern or Southern Suburbs, Cape Town **Job Type:** Full-time We are looking for an experienced and hands-on **Kitchen Manager** to oversee the daily operations of a busy restaurant kitchen. The successful candidate must be organised, dependable and able to lead a kitchen team in a fast-paced environment. ## Responsibilities - Manage the daily operation of the kitchen - Supervise, train and schedule kitchen staff - Maintain food quality, presentation and portion-control standards - Manage stock levels, ordering, receiving and stock counts - Control food costs, waste and kitchen expenses - Ensure all food-safety, hygiene and cleaning standards are followed - Monitor preparation and service times - Ensure kitchen equipment is properly used and maintained - Work closely with restaurant management to ensure smooth service - Address staff performance and operational issues ## Requirements - Previous experience as a Kitchen Manager, Head Chef or in a similar leadership role - Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, stock control and food costing - Good leadership, communication and problem-solving skills - Ability to work well under pressure - Knowledge of food-safety and hygiene requirements - Willingness to work shifts, weekends and public holidays - Reliable transport - Contactable references Please submit your CV through Indeed.
