Desired Experience & Qualification
- Grade 12 (Requirement)
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a retail environment
- Previous Cashier/Shop Assistant experience
- Previous Barista experience
- Ability to sell
- Good numeracy skills & able to work on Excel
- Strong knowledge of food safety and quality control standards.
- Basic Understanding of retail consumer behaviour and purchasing trends
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good performance and attendance record
- Available to work on public holidays and weekends
- Willing to travel to Spice Route
- Drivers License & own transport
- Live in Paarl or the surrounding area
- Fully Bilingual - Afrikaans & English
Responsibilities
- Sales
- Working on the till & cashing up
- Manage staff clocking via TallOrder
- Make Coffee/tee for clients
- Assisting in the packing of spices
- Assisting visitors with general product information - training will be provided
- Deliver excellent service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
- Responding to customer complaints and comments promptly and accurately
- Place orders with factory and other suppliers
- Follow up on orders
- Manage shop deliveries, delivery dates and stock upon arrival
- Stock control, checking transfers and stock movements
- Ability to carry and pack stock
- General housekeeping, tidying, cleaning and replenishing stock
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest standards are met.
- Able to address any quality or safety issues that may arise.
- Maintain food safety and quality control procedures.
