Lindsay Scott Inc. is looking for a dynamic, organised, customer-focused and detail-oriented Front Desk Administrator to join our growing team. We're seeking someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, enjoys working with people, and can manage multiple administrative responsibilities while delivering an exceptional patient experience.
About the Role
As our Front Desk Administrator, you will be the first point of contact for our patients and play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the practice. You will work closely with our therapists, patients, employers and funders to ensure accurate administration, efficient communication and outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and assist patients professionally and courteously.
- Open and manage electronic patient files.
- Load, review and verify patient documentation.
- Ensure all required documentation is complete, particularly for Injury on Duty (IOD) cases.
- Follow up on outstanding documentation with patients, employers, doctors and funders.
- Book, amend and manage patient appointments and diaries.
- Liaise effectively between patients and therapists.
- Follow up on patients who did not attend (DNA) appointments.
- Prepare reports and maintain accurate patient records.
- Assist with general administrative duties.
- Deliver a high standard of customer service and hospitality.
Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Previous administration, reception or customer service experience.
- Experience in a medical or healthcare environment will be advantageous.
- Knowledge of Injury on Duty (IOD), COID
- Excellent computer literacy, including:
- Microsoft Word
- Microsoft Excel
- Microsoft Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Professional telephone etiquette.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to multitask and perform under pressure.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Good knowledge of the Cape Town geographical areas.
- Driver's License and own vehicle
