The Fire Technician role at Amajuda Civils Pty Ltd is a full-time, on-site position based in Emalahleni. The Fire Technician will inspect, test, maintain, and repair fire extinguishers, fire suppression systems, and other life safety equipment in accordance with relevant standards and regulations. Daily tasks include conducting site assessments, performing routine and scheduled maintenance, documenting service activities, and reporting any deficiencies or risks. The role involves troubleshooting fire safety systems, collaborating with project teams and site supervisors, and ensuring that all fire safety measures are correctly installed, functional, and compliant. The Fire Technician will also support safety audits, provide guidance on fire safety practices, and assist in emergency preparedness initiatives as needed.
REQUIREMENTS
N3 and/or trade test
- Valid South African driver's licence.
- Current SAQCC Fire Detection registration.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience working with fire detection and sprinkler systems.
- Previous experience programming fire detection control panels.
- Good understanding of applicable SANS codes and standards.
- Ability to conduct site surveys and prepare quotations.
- Strong project coordination and supervisory skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Target-driven with excellent problem-solving skills.
