The position is based in Randburg, Gauteng.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Sales Representative's main responsibility is to take full accountability for strategically generating sales under Radio Retail for Spar, on all service offerings provided. You will also be actively hunting for media sales opportunities. You will be managing a portfolio of accounts per agreed targets, whilst developing and maintaining good relationships with these accounts.
Duties of the Sales Representative includes (but are not limited to):
- Achieving sales targets and completing the sales journey
- Offering strategic/creative solutions to clients.
- Seeing all customers at least once over an eight-week period and meeting the required weekly store visits and client call targets
- Attend trade shows.
- Educating clients on new service offerings and consolidating reports
- Creating sales proposals to pitch to clients, updating sales pipeline weekly and preparing sales store plan to discuss with management on a monthly basis.
- Submission of an advert brief to studio via the advert platform.
- Feedback reporting on sales, including strategy to close sales gaps
- Attending both internal and external planned sales training throughout the year
REQUIREMENTS
- Matric/Grade 12
- A diploma or degree in Sales and/or Marketing would be advantageous
- 2 years’ customer relations experience
- 2 years’ sales experience
- Background in Retail / FMCG would be advantageous
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal - English and Afrikaans
- Strong sales and account management skills
- Ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships
- Experience in developing and implementing sales strategies
- Ability to meet and exceed targets and goals
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with CRM software
- Resides in Randburg or surrounding areas
