We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Infrastructure / Cloud / DevOps Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, automating, securing, and maintaining cloud and on-premises infrastructure while driving DevOps best practices to support business-critical applications.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (NQF Level 7) in:
- Computer Science
- Information Technology
- Engineering
- Or a related field
- One or more of the following certifications:
- AWS Certified DevOps Engineer
- Microsoft Azure DevOps Engineer Expert
- Or another relevant Cloud, Infrastructure, or DevOps certification
- Minimum 7 years' experience in Infrastructure, Cloud Computing, and DevOps environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or hybrid environments).
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software deployment.
- Manage infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security.
- Implement cloud governance, backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions.
- Collaborate with development teams to streamline deployment processes.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
- Manage containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, and cloud-related issues.
- Continuously improve system reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
Required Technical Skills
- AWS and/or Microsoft Azure Cloud Platforms
- DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions)
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM Templates, CloudFormation, Ansible)
- Docker and Kubernetes
- Linux and Windows Server Administration
- Networking, DNS, VPNs, Load Balancing, Firewalls
- Monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch, Azure Monitor
- Scripting using PowerShell, Bash, or Python
- Version control using Git
