INDUSTRY: CIVIL CONSTRUCTION
We’re looking for a DIESEL MECHANIC with a minimum of 5 years’ experience to join our team.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- 5 years’ experience working on plant and Earthmoving equipment
- Compulsory Trade certificate - Diesel Mechanic
- Strong Knowledge of Diesel Engines, Hydraulic systems, Auto electrical systems
- Experience with equipment such as; Excavators, Loaders, Graders, Tipper Trucks, etc
- Ability to use diagnostic tools and interpret fault codes
- Valid code 10/14 drivers license

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Carry out routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults on diesel powered machinery.
- Attend to breakdowns (workshop and site based) and minimise equipment downtime.
- Willingness to travel to various project sites
ADVANTAGE
- Experience working for civil contractors or plant hire companies.
- Position based: Krugersdorp / West Rand
