This magnificent luxury wine estate at the base of the Helderberg Mountains offers a recently renovated ultra-chic Italian themed Restaurant and Bistro. Offering innovative menu ideas and trending cuisine, our estate offers a unique guest experience whether its a visit to the 86 seater "super-fresh" Terrace Restaurant for lunch and under-cover summer dinners or more formal, quieter and intimate dinners in the 48 seater "cellar restaurant".
We are in search of an ORGANISED, TEAM-FOCUSED, RESULTS DRIVEN and creative Sous Chef to assist with overseeing daily production and kitchen operations, and to manage a busy team, ensuring exceptional culinary standards and to showcase the culinary signature of this estate.
REQUIREMENTS:
Formal culinary qualification with at least 3 years experience as a Sous in a similar environment
Strong and confident leader / motivator without being negative or agressive
Organised and systematic in monitoring controls and procedures
Good sense of profitability and finances, taking full ownership and control of the business
Excellent communicator and peoples person
Highly computer proficient in Outlook, Word and Excel with Back of House & Point of Sale Systems
