We are seeking an experienced and methodical Quantity Surveyor to join our team. This role requires a professional who can deliver comprehensive cost management services across all project stages (Stage 1-6), with demonstrated expertise in both fitout and basebuild environments. The successful candidate will work across diverse sectors including Retail, Residential, Commercial, Industrial, and Educational developments.
Key Responsibilities
Pre-Contract Services
Prepare Order of Magnitude Estimates for early-stage project assessments
Conduct Feasibility Studies to evaluate project viability and cost parameters
Produce detailed Elemental Estimates for design development stages
Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and complete Procurement Documentation
Perform Tender Evaluations and lead commercial Negotiations with contractors
Post-Contract Services
Administer contracts including assessment of Variations and Claims
Prepare and certify monthly Valuations for Payment Certificates
Deliver accurate and timely Cost Reporting to clients and project stakeholders
Manage Final Account processes and settlements
Calculate and advise on professional Fees
Essential Requirements
Qualifications & Professional Standing
BSc (Hons) or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying
Registered Professional Quantity Surveyor with SACQSP (mandatory)
Minimum 4-6 years of post-qualification experience
Technical Experience
Proven experience across all project stages (Stage 1-6)
Demonstrable expertise in both fitout and basebuild projects
Strong background in Cost Management across multiple sectors
Experience in Engineering Procurement, Contract Administration, and Tender Adjudication
Track record of successful project delivery in fast-paced environments
