Based in our international content hub in Cape Town of our international creative agency, you will join a growing team of social & digital experts as our first subject matter expert for community management
You will collaborate with client servicing, creative, social media and content teams across all our international offices and own the management of communities on social media platforms on behalf of our global clients
You own brand presence by responding, engaging, and representing the brand voice with consistency and confidence
You monitor conversations, comments, and DMs across platforms, turning interactions into relationships and critics into advocates
You identify trending topics, cultural moments, and community signals that can feed into content and campaign strategy – always-on, agile, fast, helping spot both crisis and opportunity
You work closely with content creators, social strategists, and clients to ensure community activity aligns with broader campaign goals
And, of course, you track and report on community health metrics (i.e. sentiment, engagement, growth) and translate them into actionable insights, while also proactively flagging risks, opportunities, and audience feedback to the wider team
You don’t just know about social and online media, you genuinely feel culture – you live and breathe social, you are always on, in the know, engaged. This helps you notice things others miss, spotting opportunities, identifying trends early. You love it!
You have at least 4 years of experience in brand community management or social media, ideally within an agency environment
You have a deep understanding of social media platforms including Instagram, YouTube TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, and X (Twitter)
You are an excellent communicator with a strong command of written English, and you can adapt tone instantly across brands, audiences, and contexts
You are highly organised, able to manage multiple clients and communities simultaneously, remaining calm under pressure to also handle difficult conversations and sensitive situations with professionalism and good judgment
You are proactive, solutions-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, international environment
