The Junior Design & Print Assistant supports the design and print department by assisting with artwork preparation, print production, customer requests, and general administrative duties. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for graphic design, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn the print production process. The successful candidate will help ensure that projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities Graphic Design
- Assist in creating and editing artwork for print and digital media.
- Prepare customer-supplied artwork for production, ensuring files meet print specifications.
- Resize, modify, and update existing artwork as required.
- Create proofs for customer approval.
- Maintain brand consistency across all design projects.
- Assist with designing signage, labels, marketing materials, business stationery, and promotional products.
Print Production
- Prepare print-ready files according to production requirements.
- Operate and assist with digital printing equipment where required.
- Perform quality checks on printed materials before dispatch.
- Ensure jobs are produced according to customer specifications and deadlines.
Administration
- Maintain organised digital files and artwork archives.
- Assist with job scheduling and tracking.
- Prepare job documentation and production paperwork.
- Monitor stock levels of print materials and notify management when supplies need replenishing.
General Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Follow company procedures and quality standards.
- Meet production deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
- Work collaboratively with designers, production staff, and management.
- Assist with additional duties as required within the design and print department.
Required Experience
- 1–2 years' experience in a graphic design, print shop, signage, or similar environment (preferred).
- Good knowledge of CoralDraw is a necessity.
- Basic understanding of print production processes and file preparation.

Qualifications
