About the Role We are looking for a hands-on Plant / Technical Maintenance Manager to lead our production facility in Epping. In this role, you will hold dual responsibility for the mechanical health of our facility and our final production output. You will personally oversee the repair, maintenance, and technical functionality of our machinery while simultaneously driving the production team to meet and exceed daily output targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Machinery Functionality: Monitor, repair, and maintain all plant equipment and machinery to ensure optimal working order and minimal downtime.
- Production & Output Management: Oversee daily operations, optimize manufacturing processes, and ensure production schedules and output targets are consistently met.
- Staff Leadership: Lead, train, and manage production teams, including supervisors, machine operators, and maintenance staff.
- Quality & Food Safety: Ensure all beverage production meets strict quality standards, maintaining full adherence to GMP and HACCP principles.
- Crisis & Problem Management: Rapidly resolve equipment breakdowns, production delays, or supply chain disruptions with effective contingency plans.
- Compliance & Safety: Enforce health and safety standards to protect staff and ensure full compliance with food safety, environmental, and labor regulations.
- Supply Chain & Inventory: Manage raw material procurement and inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Financial Oversight: Develop and manage the facility budget, tracking operational expenses to drive cost-effectiveness without compromising quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a technical maintenance and production management role, ideally within the food and beverage industry.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience repairing and maintaining production machinery.
- Demonstrated ability to manage factory teams and consistently hit volume/output targets.
- Deep knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and health and safety compliance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills to manage breakdowns and operational crises under pressure.
