Alluvia Boutique Winery & Luxury Accommodation is a luxury wine estate nestled in the beautiful Banhoek Valley between Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional hospitality, personalised service, and memorable guest experiences across our accommodation, restaurant, winery, and events.
We are looking for an energetic and hands-on Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in maintaining high service standards across the estate.
Role Overview
The Assistant General Manager will assist in overseeing the daily operations of the estate, ensuring guests receive outstanding service and that operational standards are consistently maintained. This is a hands-on role that requires someone who enjoys working with people, leading by example, and being actively involved in the day-to-day operation.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management
- Assist the General Manager with the day-to-day running of the estate.
- Assist with implementing operational procedures and maintaining a safe, organised workplace.
- Ensure service quality is consistently delivered across all departments.
Guest Experience
- Monitor restaurant service and engage with guests during meal services.
- Build positive relationships with guests and resolve service issues professionally.
- Promote a culture of exceptional customer service and guest satisfaction.
Housekeeping & Quality Control
- Supervise housekeeping standards and conduct regular room quality inspections.
- Monitor operational standards across the estate and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Food & Beverage
- Assist with the management of the Food & Beverage operation.
- Monitor service standards and support the delivery of a high-quality dining experience.
Events Management
- Support the planning and execution of weddings, functions, and special events.
- Work rostered events, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required.
Team Leadership
- Support, motivate, and guide operational teams while maintaining company standards.
- Lead by example and encourage a positive, guest-focused working environment.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' hospitality experience, preferably in a supervisory or management role.
- Experience in a hotel, lodge, guest house, wine estate, or similar hospitality environment.
- Wine industry experience or wine knowledge will be advantageous.
- Experience with Semper (essential).
- POS system experience.
- Computer literate.
- Own reliable vehicle and valid driver's licence.
- Able to work flexible hospitality hours, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays when required.

Pay: R24 000,00 - R26 000,00 per month
