Location: Cape Town CBD
We are looking for an organised, detail-oriented and proactive Butchery Stock & Orders Controller to join our team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that stock is accurately managed and customer orders are processed efficiently from receipt through to completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive and check supplier deliveries for accuracy.
- Capture and maintain accurate stock records.
- Monitor and maintain adequate stock levels.
- Receive and process customer orders.
- Allocate orders to the production team.
- Track customer orders throughout the production process.
- Ensure completed orders are accurate and ready for collection or dispatch.
- Liaise with production staff and management regarding stock and order requirements.
- Conduct regular stock counts and investigate stock discrepancies.
- Maintain organised records and ensure all documentation is up to date.
Minimum Requirements
- Knowledge/experience working with meat products, cuts and stock management within a butchery or meat processing environment.
- Matric (Grade 12).
- Previous experience in stock control, inventory management, order processing or administration.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple customer orders.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in the food manufacturing, wholesale or retail industry will be advantageous.
