Job Summary:
The Junior Sales Consultant will maintain existing business relationships and proactively seek new business across all sectors. The role requires a self-motivated individual with excellent customer service skills and a strong background in sales, particularly in Quick Service Restaurants (QSR), retail, or the culinary sector. The consultant must have technical aptitude and a comprehensive understanding of back-of-house kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and grow existing business accounts while seeking new business opportunities in diverse sectors.
Manage ongoing projects, ensuring the timely supply of necessary equipment.
Achieve sales targets and maximize conversion of quotations into confirmed sales.
Understand and demonstrate knowledge of commercial kitchen operations.
Source new customers and expand market share through continuous business development.
Generate accurate quotations, sourcing prices from the company's lists or external suppliers when needed.
Negotiate deals and pricing within company guidelines to close sales.
Submit quotations and any required amendments promptly and accurately.
Ensure all customer orders are captured in the.
Provide weekly project sheets, journey plans, and feedback to management.
Requirements:
Previous sales experience, ideally in the catering or hospitality industry.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
A passion for food, with a background in culinary arts or experience as a chef preferred.
Technical aptitude with a good understanding of kitchen equipment and operations.
Comfortable with travel; must have a valid driver's license and own a reliable vehicle.
Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Syspro.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Preferred Experience:
Experience in QSR, retail, or a related industry.
Working knowledge of kitchen back-of-house operations.
