Career Growth Hospitality & Recruitment are looking for an experienced individual to be a Food & Beverage Service Ambassador of a 5* Luxury Hotel on the Atlantic Seaboard.
Host and be an ambassador of the Food & Beverage offering.
Welcome customers on arrival at the restaurant, or other eating or drinking areas.
Introduce customers to the menu and announce seasonal menu specials.
Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and pricing.
Take food and drink orders by writing them on as per standards.
Relay customer orders to kitchen staff for preparation.
Prepare drinks in the absence of Bartender and serve them to customers if necessary.
Collect food orders from the kitchen, verify that they are correct, and serve them to customers.
Ensure that customers are satisfied with their meals and process orders for additional courses if necessary.
Remove used dishes, glasses, and flatware from tables.
Prepare bills and charge accordingly for restaurant manager or supervisor to present to clients.
Set tables with dishes, glasses, and flatware and refill condiments.
Maintain familiarity with menu items, specials, and restaurant information.
Attend daily briefing meeting before each service to learn about menu changes and specials as well as discuss upcoming reservations and customers with special needs.
Know bar menu and offering, pricing to recommend and make suggestions when is require.
Know wine menu and offering of wine by the glass to recommend and make suggestions.
Ensure daily duties are done as per duty roster.
Ensure you are always visible and never leave your area unattended or without authorization.
All breaks must be authorized by MOD.
Always in correct uniform, presentable and well-groomed including personal hygiene.
3 years experience in a 5* or similar environment.
Have gross motor skills, such as walking up and down stairs.
Wine knowledge with relevant qualification.
Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in ability to operate standard beverage service equipment safely and effectively.
Proving knowledge in food allergies and service.
Proving knowledge in wines, regions, and varieties as well of service etiquette.
Proving knowledge of basic spirits, origin and cocktails.
Basic maths skills.
Great customer service skills.
Ability to work under pressure
