Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Site Agent/Senior Foreman to oversee all aspects of our construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring that construction projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. They will coordinate with subcontractors, manage on-site personnel, and communicate effectively with project managers and other stakeholders. The Construction Site Agent/Senior Foreman will play a pivotal role in maintaining high-quality standards and delivering successful outcomes for our projects.
Responsibilities:
- Project Planning and Coordination:
- Collaborate with project managers to develop project plans and schedules.
- Coordinate resources, including materials, equipment, and manpower, to ensure efficient project execution.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and adherence to safety regulations.
- Team Management:
- Supervise on-site personnel, including subcontractors, tradespeople, and laborers.
- Provide guidance and support to team members, ensuring work is completed to specifications and quality standards.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate project objectives, expectations, and updates.
- Quality Control and Assurance:
- Implement quality control measures to ensure workmanship meets project requirements and industry standards.
- Conduct inspections and address any deficiencies promptly to maintain quality and mitigate risks.
- Safety Compliance:
- Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations on the construction site.
- Conduct safety briefings and toolbox talks to promote a culture of safety awareness among on-site personnel.
- Investigate and report any safety incidents or near misses, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Communication and Reporting:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and inspectors.
- Provide regular progress reports to project managers, highlighting milestones achieved, challenges encountered, and any deviations from the project plan.
- Document all relevant project activities, including daily logs, incident reports, and change orders.
- Problem Solving and Decision Making:
- Identify potential risks and obstacles to project success and develop proactive solutions to mitigate them.
- Make informed decisions on-site, considering project objectives, budget constraints, and timeline requirements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Construction Site Agent, Senior Foreman, or similar role in the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire on-site personnel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to effectively liaise with various stakeholders.
- Solid understanding of safety regulations and the ability to enforce compliance on the construction site.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools for scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.
- Certification in construction management or a related field is desirable.
- Physical fitness and the ability to work in a demanding, outdoor environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in safety management or quality assurance.
- Prior experience working on commercial, residential, or industrial construction projects.
