Job Summary
Studio 88, one of the largest retailer of Branded Clothing and Footwear in Southern Africa, is seeking a Regional Manager.
The Regional Manager will oversee the operations, sales performance and team management for multiple Studio 88 stores within a designated region in Southern Africa. This role is responsible for driving top-line growth, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, maintaining operational consistency and achieving financial targets
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a network of Store Managers and their teams to deliver consistent service, merchandising and sales standards.
- Monitor regional sales performance and profitability; implement corrective actions to meet or exceed targets.
- Ensure staffing levels, training and development plans align with business needs and focus on engagement and retention.
- Foster a customer-centric culture by driving initiatives that improve satisfaction scores and brand loyalty.
- Partner with Logistics and Supply Chain to optimize stock levels, minimize shrinkage and ensure timely replenishment.
- Collaborate with HR to enforce compliance with policies (e.g., leave, performance management, BCEA requirements).
- Work with Marketing to localize promotional activity, drive footfall and leverage regional customer insights.
- Manage budgets, expenses and P&L metrics; prepare regular performance reports for Senior Leadership.
- Ensure adherence to visual merchandising standards and store presentation guidelines.
- Implement process improvements to streamline operations during peak seasons (Easter, March–April, November–December).
- Report to General Manager regarding promotions, pricing and product demand.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management or related field will be advantageous.
- Minimum 3+ years’ multi-unit retail management experience, preferably in consumer durables/apparel.Proven track record of meeting sales targets and driving profitability across multiple locations.
- Candidate must have previous experience in an Administration role.
Skills required
- Strong leadership and coaching capabilities; demonstrated ability to build high-performing teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Solid financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting and P&L management.
- Ability to analyze sales and operational data; proficient with MS Office and retail systems (e.g., ERP/POS).
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
- Knowledge of local labour regulations (BCEA) and retail compliance standards.

- Scaling resources and processes to support peak trading periods (e.g., Easter, year-end).
