JOB OVERVIEW
- Coordinate and support daily sales and marketing operations to ensure efficient campaign execution and client engagement.
- Assist with scheduling promotional activities, tracking team performance, and facilitating communication between sales and marketing teams.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, sales leads, campaign results, and customer preferences.
- Ensure compliance with brand standards, marketing regulations, and internal reporting protocols.
- Monitor inventory levels of promotional materials and assist with procurement processes, including vendor communication and order tracking.
- Handle client and customer inquiries professionally, ensuring timely follow-up and high levels of satisfaction.
- Support quality assurance by maintaining documentation for campaign performance, customer feedback, and market audits.
- Contribute to innovation in sales and marketing delivery by updating customer relation management systems and supporting new initiatives and strategies.
- Demonstrate flexibility in working hours to accommodate client meetings, events, product launches, and peak campaign periods.
- Adapt to changing schedules and operational needs, including public holidays
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
- To drive business growth by identifying new opportunities, generating leads, and securing profitable contracts.
- To understand customer needs and align Sodexo’s service offerings to ensure competitiveness, strengthen market presence, and support customer acquisition and retention.
- To develop and execute business development strategies across relevant markets and segments, contributing to both Business to Business and Business to Consumer initiatives where applicable.
- To collaborate with internal departments to ensure alignment between sales objectives, operational capabilities, and marketing initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development & Sales Responsibilities
· Identify, target, and pursue new business opportunities through market mapping, networking, referrals, and lead generation activities.
· Build and maintain long term relationships with clients to drive repeat business, contract renewals, and upselling opportunities.
· Conduct client needs assessments and present tailored solutions aligned with business service offerings.
· Lead proposal development, including bid responses, quotations, tenders, and contract negotiations.
· Manage and update the customer relation management system with accurate information on leads, opportunities, client interactions, and deal progress.
· Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual business development and revenue targets.
Market & Strategy Responsibilities
· Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities to support strategic decision making.
· Develop and implement business development strategies that support growth in existing and new market segments.
· Collaborate with marketing to align lead generation initiatives with overall business development objectives.
· Support the creation of sales and marketing materials including capability statements, proposals, presentations, and case studies.
· Represent the Business at industry events, exhibitions, networking sessions, and client meetings to strengthen brand presence.
Marketing & Brand Support Responsibilities
· Provide input into marketing campaigns and digital initiatives aimed at improving brand visibility and lead generation.
· Support digital marketing activities such as LinkedIn engagement, email marketing, and content distribution where required.
· Monitor and report on business development activities, market opportunities, and campaign outcomes.
