5+ years’ or more experience in a digitally-focused UX/UI design role
Strong portfolio of work Strong communication, leadership and management skills
Ability to work autonomously and and as part of a team
Experience conducting design sprints or workshops with clients
Up to date knowledge of current web design trends and techniques
Proficient in user-centred design methodologies and design thinking
Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (focusing on Adobe XD) and MS Office
Basic HTML and CSS knowledge
Understanding of marketing and digital strategy, UI, UX and information architecture
Designing with usability/information architecture in mind

responsibilities
Experience of design lead user research and user journeys to ensure optimum experience
Inclusive leader and communicator who uses these skills to identify and resolve issues with both clients, stakeholders and the team
Provide leadership for other designers by conducting design reviews, ensuring best practices are followed consistently across the project, and by providing feedback on their designs
Provide leadership to clients and shareholders around design and user experience
Create compelling design artefacts (user stories, personas, sitemaps, wireframes, prototypes, storyboards etc.) to effectively communicate UX needs to internal teams and stakeholders. Have the ability to create wireframes, user flows, visual design assets, and interactive prototypes/high fidelity mockups
Conduct design sprints or workshops to collect and evaluate business goals and user needs
Have the ability to create polished, production-ready UI designs
Understand scope, requirements, and drive innovative solutions aligned with business goals and metrics
Take initiative within projects, anticipate challenges, and meet deadlines
Stay up to date with latest design and technology trends
Share your knowledge with wider team
External client-facing experience necessary
Present design work confidently to clients and stakeholders and build trusting relationships
Collaborating on user experience planning with technical leads and product owners
Ensure projects and tasks are delivered on time and on budget, and to the highest quality
Are familiarity with design sprints and the agile methodology
Create style tiles, UI kits, mood boards and style guides
Deliver responsive and systematic designs through an agile methodology
User interface design for apps, mobile web and responsive web
Creative and conceptual abilities for digital and social campaigns

Terms
of
contract
8:00 to 5:00pm, Monday to Friday. The schedule is ‘deadline-driven’ i.e. on occasions when deadlines are tight, work may be required outside these hours
15 working days paid leave per annum
Employment will be subject to an initial 5-month trial period whereby performance will be appraised and reviewed
