Full Job Description

Introduction

Well-established food manufacturing company based in Kempton Park, is looking for a qualified and experienced Millwright to join their maintenance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on artisan who is passionate about ensuring maximum equipment reliability and minimising production downtime in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

Install, maintain and repair food processing and packaging machinery.
Carry out planned preventative maintenance to minimise equipment downtime.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and control system faults.
Ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently in accordance with company and statutory requirements.
Assist in improving equipment reliability and production efficiency.
Work closely with production personnel to resolve equipment-related issues.
Complete maintenance reports, job cards and service records accurately.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, quality and food manufacturing standards.

Desired Experience & Qualification

Qualified Millwright with a valid Trade Test Certificate.
Proven experience as a Millwright within the food manufacturing industry.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Experience working with PLCs, automated production equipment and process machinery.
Ability to diagnose faults and perform effective troubleshooting.
Sound understanding of preventative and planned maintenance.
Knowledge of food safety, health and safety regulations, and quality standards.
Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
