About Banksia Health
Banksia Health is a fast-growing healthcare group building and operating technology-enabled healthcare services across Australia.
Our businesses combine telehealth, clinical care, patient support, healthcare operations and treatment fulfilment. As we expand our services, brands and workforce, we need a recruitment function capable of delivering high-quality hires at speed without sacrificing standards, candidate experience or operational discipline.
We are looking for an experienced Recruitment Manager to lead and scale talent acquisition across Banksia Health.
You will initially lead a small recruitment team while building the systems, processes, reporting and capability required to support significant growth across clinical, operational, customer service and corporate functions.
This is not a conventional recruiter role. You will remain involved in critical and difficult-to-fill hires, but your primary responsibility will be to improve the overall performance of the recruitment function.
The Role
You will take ownership of recruitment operations across Banksia Health and its portfolio of healthcare brands.
The role combines recruitment leadership, workforce planning, process improvement, strategic sourcing and data-driven performance management.
You will work closely with senior leadership and operational managers to ensure recruitment capacity stays ahead of business demand, particularly across high-volume and business-critical roles.
Success will be measured by the quality and retention of hires, time-to-hire, recruitment cost, pipeline strength, recruiter productivity and your ability to build a scalable talent acquisition function.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead high-volume recruitment across clinical, operational, patient support, customer service and corporate functions.
- Manage, coach and develop a small recruitment team, with clear performance standards, activity expectations and measurable KPIs.
- Own the end-to-end recruitment function across Banksia Health and its associated brands.
- Build recruitment capacity to support rapid growth and changing workforce requirements.
- Partner with leadership on workforce planning, hiring priorities, role design and recruitment forecasting.
- Develop sustainable talent pipelines across Australia, South Africa and other future operating markets.
- Create direct sourcing and headhunting strategies for difficult-to-fill and specialist positions.
- Improve recruitment workflows, interview processes, candidate screening and hiring-manager accountability.
- Implement scalable recruitment systems, automations, templates and operating procedures.
- Reduce time-to-hire without compromising candidate quality or clinical and regulatory standards.
- Establish structured interview, assessment, reference-checking and selection frameworks.
- Track and report on recruitment funnel performance, including source quality, conversion rates, recruiter productivity, cost-per-hire and new-hire retention.
- Identify bottlenecks and use recruitment data to drive continuous improvement.
- Improve candidate communication and the overall candidate experience.
- Support onboarding handover processes to improve new-hire readiness and early retention.
- Maintain accurate recruitment records and ensure hiring practices comply with relevant employment, privacy and healthcare requirements.
- Personally manage priority, confidential and difficult-to-fill recruitment assignments when required.
About You
- At least five years of recruitment or talent acquisition experience.
- Demonstrated experience leading recruiters or managing recruitment team performance.
- Strong experience in high-volume or rapidly scaling recruitment environments.
- Proven ability to improve recruiter productivity, hiring processes and recruitment outcomes.
- Commercially minded, with an understanding of how poor hiring decisions affect productivity, retention and business performance.
- Strong knowledge of recruitment systems, reporting, workforce planning and process improvement.
- Demonstrated success sourcing and headhunting candidates for difficult-to-fill roles.
- Comfortable using recruitment data to identify issues and make decisions.
- Able to challenge hiring managers, clarify requirements and maintain appropriate hiring standards.
- Highly organised, accountable and capable of managing competing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment where priorities and hiring volumes can change quickly.
- Healthcare, clinical or telehealth recruitment experience is advantageous but not essential.
Preferred Experience
Experience in one or more of the following areas would be highly regarded:
- Internal talent acquisition leadership.
- Agency recruitment management.
- Healthcare, medical, pharmacy, clinical or telehealth recruitment.
- Recruiting doctors, nurses, pharmacists or other regulated healthcare professionals.
- Building recruitment functions within startups or high-growth businesses.
- Recruiting across Australia and South Africa.
- ATS, recruitment CRM and talent analytics platforms.
- LinkedIn Recruiter, SEEK Talent Search and advanced direct-sourcing tools.
- Recruitment marketing and employer-brand development.
- Implementing AI tools, recruitment automations and workflow improvements.
- Building structured interview guides, scorecards and competency frameworks.
What We Offer
- A fully remote position.
- The opportunity to lead and shape the recruitment function of a growing healthcare group.
- Direct access to senior leadership and genuine influence over workforce strategy.
- A broad role covering recruitment leadership, systems, operations and growth.
- The opportunity to build recruitment infrastructure rather than inherit a fixed corporate process.
- A fast-paced and commercially focused working environment.
- Significant career development opportunities as Banksia Health expands into new services and markets.
This role will suit a recruitment leader who is comfortable being accountable for outcomes, not simply recruitment activity.
You should be equally capable of managing recruiters, analysing hiring data, improving systems, challenging poor hiring practices and personally closing critical roles.

- The recruitment teams or functions you have previously managed.
- The highest hiring volumes you have been responsible for.
- An example of a recruitment process or system you materially improved.
