Distribution and Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a warehouse and ensuring that goods are received, stored, picked, packed, and dispatched accurately, safely, and efficiently. Sourcing and buying products and services for the company. Creating a buying strategy that considers the company budget and necessary supplies. Managing vendor relationships, running sourcing activities, and negotiating terms and Conditions.
The successful candidate will play a key role in managing inventory, receiving, dispatch, and staff supervision.
Key Responsibilities
· Manage daily warehouse activities including receiving, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns.
· Ensure all stock movements are accurately processed
· Ensure customer orders are processed accurately and within agreed service levels.
· Ensure all stock transactions are completed accurately and timeously.
· Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies between physical stock and system records.
· Inventory & Bin Location Control.
· Ensure all stock is correctly binned and easily traceable.
· Manage stock relocations and warehouse optimization projects.

· Ensure high levels of inventory accuracy.
· Maintain strict stock control procedures to minimize losses.
· Develop and manage procurement strategies to ensure uninterrupted supply of stock.
· Source, evaluate, negotiate, and manage local suppliers.
· Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers.
· Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers.
· Oversee the procurement process, including requisition approval, purchase order issuance, and order tracking.
· Ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
· Resolve any issues related to orders, such as delays or discrepancies
· Manage inventory levels to ensure an optimal balance between supply and demand.
· Develop and implement inventory control procedures.
· Conduct regular inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies.
· Understanding of concepts in terms of inventory control and ordering requirements.
· Ability to work under pressure and support others within team.
· Monitor stock levels and forecast future purchasing requirements.
· Review procurement forecasts and support demand planning initiatives.
· Minimise procurement risks and identify cost-saving opportunities.
· Track purchase orders and ensure on-time delivery of stock.
· Check and verify orders before dispatch to ensure accuracy
· Prepare and organise orders for delivery and collection
· Coordinate with drivers and the dispatch team to ensure smooth operations
· Oversee loading to minimise and prevent damage to products
· Communicate any discrepancies, damages, or issues immediately
· Support general warehouse and dispatch functions as required
Minimum Requirements:
Matric / Senior Certificate equivalent
Preferred experience, Min 3 years' supervisory warehouse.
Proven experience as a Procurement Manager or in a similar role.
Experience with Sage One Accounting is non-negotiable.
Above-average proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
Strong inventory control and stock management experience.
Excellent planning, organisational, and analytical skills

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Hands-on approach to warehouse management.
Additional Requirements
Must reside in or around Edenvale or surrounding areas.
Must be willing to work extended hours, weekends, and public holidays when operationally required.
Must be physically fit and capable of working in a warehouse environment.
Valid driver's license.
