Full Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Senior Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, troubleshooting, and improving factory machinery and equipment to ensure maximum operational efficiency and minimal downtime. The ideal candidate will have strong experience, coupled with a proactive work ethic and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

Electrical Maintenance

Single-phase and three-phase electrical systems.
Perform electrical wiring, testing, commissioning, and fault-finding.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults on machinery and equipment.
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards and regulations.

Pneumatic Systems

Replace, fit, repair, and maintain pneumatic cylinders.
Install and replace solenoid valves and associated components.
Install, maintain, and repair pneumatic piping systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot pneumatic system failures and inefficiencies.

Hydraulic Systems

Remove and replace hydraulic cylinders.
Fit and repair hydraulic cylinders, seals, hoses, and related components.
Perform preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on hydraulic equipment.
Identify and rectify hydraulic system faults.

Machining and Turning

Operate machining equipment.
Manufacture and repair components including shafts, keyways, bushes, and other mechanical parts.
Maintain machining equipment in a safe and operational condition.

General Maintenance

Conduct preventative and reactive maintenance on production equipment.
Minimize downtime through effective fault diagnosis and repair.
Maintain accurate maintenance records and reports.
Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and factory improvement projects.
Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental requirements.
Participate in standby duties and overtime as required.

Other requirements:

Minimum of 5 years' experience in a maintenance technician role within a manufacturing or factory environment.
Proven experience with electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical maintenance.
Valid driver's license and own reliable transport.
Willingness to work overtime when required.
Physically fit and capable of working in a factory environment.

Pay: Up to R35 000,00 per month
