We are seeking a creative and results-driven Digital Marketing Executive in a contract position to plan, execute, and optimize digital marketing campaigns that drive brand awareness, generate qualified leads, and support revenue growth across our POS, payment, and retail technology solutions. This role is responsible for managing paid and organic channels, producing marketing content, analyzing campaign performance, and collaborating closely with sales and product teams to ensure marketing efforts translate into pipeline.
The ideal candidate has strong digital marketing fundamentals, hands-on experience with paid media and marketing automation platforms, sharp analytical skills, and the ability to write clear, customer-focused copy for B2B audiences — ideally in retail, hospitality, or payment technology.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, launch, and optimize digital campaigns across Google Ads, LinkedIn, Meta, YouTube, and other paid channels.
- Manage SEO, on-page optimization, keyword research, and website content updates to grow organic traffic.
- Create and schedule content across social media, email, blog, and landing pages aligned to the buyer journey.
- Build and manage email marketing and nurture sequences using platforms such as HubSpot, Marketo, Mailchimp, or ActiveCampaign.
- Design lead-generation funnels, forms, and landing pages, and coordinate with sales to ensure smooth handoff of MQLs.
- Track, analyze, and report on campaign KPIs including CTR, CPL, CAC, conversion rate, and ROI, and adjust tactics accordingly.
- Manage marketing budgets, ensuring spend is allocated to the highest-performing channels.
- Coordinate with graphic designers, copywriters, and external agencies to deliver campaign assets on time.
- Maintain brand consistency across all digital touchpoints and marketing collateral.
- Monitor competitors, industry trends, and customer feedback to inform positioning and messaging.
- Support product launches, webinars, and promotional campaigns end-to-end.
- Ensure all marketing activities comply with data protection, privacy, and platform policies.
Qualifications
- Matric required; a diploma or bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 2+ years of hands-on digital marketing experience, preferably in B2B, SaaS, fintech, or retail technology.
- Proven experience running paid campaigns on Google Ads and at least one major social platform (LinkedIn, Meta).
- Working knowledge of SEO, Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager, and Search Console.
- Experience with a CRM and/or marketing automation tool (HubSpot, Salesforce, Marketo, Mailchimp, or similar).
- Strong copywriting skills with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences and channels.
- Comfortable interpreting data and translating it into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Strong project management, multitasking, and organizational skills.
- Willingness to work US-aligned hours
Preferred Skills
- Experience marketing to US or international audiences.
- Familiarity with tools like Canva, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Hootsuite, Buffer, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Hotjar.
- Basic HTML/CSS or experience updating WordPress, Webflow, or similar CMS platforms.
- Exposure to ABM (account-based marketing) tactics.
- Understanding of the POS, payments, retail, restaurant, or hospitality industries.
- Google Ads, Meta Blueprint, HubSpot, or Google Analytics certifications.
Work Environment
This position is office-based in Cape Town (no remote or hybrid).
