As the Principal Solutions Consultant – Sage Intacct, you will play a critical role in driving strategic sales success by combining deep financial expertise with enterprise solution consulting and executive engagement.
As the recognised Sage Intacct Subject Matter Expert (SME), you will partner with Sales, Professional Services, Business Partners, and executive stakeholders to understand complex business challenges, design innovative cloud ERP solutions, and guide customers through their digital transformation journey.
This is a highly visible leadership role where you will lead complex presales engagements, influence enterprise solution strategy, deliver compelling executive presentations, and position Sage Intacct as the preferred cloud financial management platform. Beyond supporting strategic sales opportunities, you will mentor fellow Solutions Consultants, strengthen partner capability, and champion presales excellence across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Presales Leadership
Lead presales strategy and execution for complex, strategic, and enterprise Sage Intacct opportunities.
Partner with Account Executives and Sales Leadership to develop winning account strategies that accelerate revenue growth and maximise win rates.
Facilitate executive discovery workshops to uncover customer business priorities, financial challenges, and digital transformation objectives.
Design solution architectures that align business requirements with Sage Intacct capabilities and industry best practices.
Deliver engaging, outcome-focused demonstrations that clearly articulate business value, operational improvements, and return on investment (ROI).
Develop compelling value propositions, business cases, and executive presentations that support informed decision-making.
Build trusted relationships with executive stakeholders, serving as a strategic advisor throughout the customer buying journey.
Contribute to strategic account planning, opportunity reviews, and sales forecasting.
Solution Consulting & Architecture
Analyse current business processes and identify opportunities to modernise financial operations through cloud ERP.
Map customer requirements to Sage Intacct functionality and complementary business solutions.
Recommend best-practice financial processes that improve operational efficiency, visibility, and business performance.
Provide expert guidance on financial management, reporting, automation, compliance, and business process optimisation.
Conduct solution fit-gap assessments and define implementation scope in collaboration with Professional Services.
Ensure seamless transition from presales to implementation through effective knowledge transfer and solution documentation.
Strategic Opportunity Management
Lead the solution strategy for high-value customer opportunities and enterprise sales engagements.
Manage the technical and functional components of RFPs, RFIs, tenders, and complex customer proposals.
Support multi-entity, multi-national, and enterprise-level solution engagements.
Collaborate with Sales Leadership on strategic deal reviews and competitive positioning.
Develop financial business cases, ROI models, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) analyses that demonstrate measurable customer value.
Position Sage Intacct effectively against competitive ERP and financial management solutions.
Partner Enablement & Ecosystem Success
Strengthen the Sage Intacct partner ecosystem through enablement, coaching, and technical leadership.
Deliver engaging product, sales, and demonstration training for Business Partners.
Support partner onboarding, certification, and readiness initiatives.
Coach partner consultants and sales teams on consultative selling, solution positioning, and executive presentations.
Develop partner capability that improves customer engagement, solution quality, and revenue growth.
Promote consistent presales methodologies and best practices across the partner network.
Internal Leadership & Capability Development
Mentor and coach Solutions Consultants and junior presales professionals to develop consulting excellence and technical capability.
Create and maintain demonstration environments, reusable assets, training materials, and presales collateral.
Share market trends, competitive intelligence, and industry best practices across the organisation.
Support onboarding and continuous development of new team members.
Act as the senior escalation point and trusted advisor for complex customer scenarios and strategic opportunities.
Foster a collaborative culture focused on innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.
Customer & Industry Expertise
Maintain expert-level knowledge of Sage Intacct and the broader cloud ERP ecosystem.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in one of the following disciplines:
Accounting
Finance
Information Systems
Business Management
Related field
Experience
8–12+ years' experience in ERP, cloud financial management, or enterprise business applications.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in Presales, Solution Consulting, Solution Engineering, or Solution Architecture.
Proven hands-on experience with Sage Intacct or comparable cloud ERP and financial management platforms.
Demonstrated success leading strategic and enterprise sales engagements.
Strong background in consultative selling, executive engagement, and value-based solution positioning.
Experience working with indirect sales channels and Business Partners is advantageous.

Travel Requirements
Travel to customer, Business Partner, and Sage offices as required.
Participation in customer engagements, partner enablement programmes, conferences, sales kick-offs, and industry events.
Regional travel with occasional international travel as business needs require.
