Unlock Your Potential! We’re looking for a passionate Services Fitter to join our NBL Isando Biscuits in Kempton Park, Gauteng. The suitable candidate will carry out planned and preventative maintenance as well as breakdown and repair work on all plant equipment.
Reporting Structure:
- Reports to: Services Foreman
Key Areas of Impact:
- Continuously adhere to and engage in safe working practices.

Adhere to the company safety policy.

Carry out breakdown repair work on all plant and equipment.
-
Carry out planned and preventative maintenance schedules as required on mechanical equipment in area of responsibility.

Perform planned shutdown work on plant and ancillary equipment.
-
Contribute to scope of work for planned maintenance activities.
-
Contribute to the investigation and completion of root cause & failure analysis on prolonged and repeated breakdowns.

Provide expert advice and guidance on problem-solving techniques to fellow workers.
-
Adhere to company’s escalation policy and procedure.
-
Record all maintenance data (downtime, spares, and improvement recommendations) on Shopware CMMS.
-
Complete checklists and take appropriate follow-up measures.
-
Proactively identify reliability risks, and poor engineering practices, and take appropriate actions to rectify such deviations.
What It Takes to Succeed:
Experience that set you up for success:
- 3 – 5 years’ experience as a Bulk and Services Fitter gained in the FMCG/Food Manufacturing environment

Working experience on bulk mixers, rotary valve, diverters, and fluidizing system
-
Working experience on scrapped surface heat exchangers – Chementators
-
Working experience on pumpable shortening plants
-
Working experience on Pumps (Vacuum, Piston, centrifugal, multistage vertical )
Qualifications & Certifications that will contribute to your success:

Trade tested as a Fitter at an accredited training facility
-
A completed Mechanical Engineering qualification or minimum N4 qualification.
Additional Requirements that will enhance your impact for success:
- Knowledge of CMMS system (SAP, Pragma, etc)

Computer Literate MS Office (Word and Excel)
-
Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Regulations
-
Knowledge of QMS, HACCP and GMP’s is an advantage
-
Working knowledge with Hydraulics Pneumatics Systems
-
Must be prepared to work shifts, overtime and be on stand-by duty.
