IT Systems Administrator
RAC Human Capital is seeking a reliable, technically skilled and service-oriented IT Systems Administrator to support and maintain our technology environment, systems, users and infrastructure.

Working Hours: Nightshift, aligned with United States and Australian operating hours
Remuneration: R20 000 per month, inclusive of nightshift allowance
Weekend Standby Allowance: Applicable for approved weekend standby duties

About the Role
The IT Systems Administrator will be responsible for ensuring the stability, security, availability and efficiency of RAC Human Capital’s IT systems. The successful candidate will support end users, administer Microsoft 365 and related platforms, maintain hardware and software environments, troubleshoot technical issues, monitor system performance and assist with IT governance, cybersecurity, backups and business continuity.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, maintain and support company IT systems, servers, networks, endpoints and business applications.
- Provide first-line and second-line support to users, including troubleshooting hardware, software, network, email and access-related issues.
- Manage Microsoft 365 services, user accounts, mailboxes, permissions, groups and access controls.
- Support Active Directory or cloud identity administration, including onboarding, offboarding and password/access management.
- Install, configure and maintain laptops, desktops, printers, peripherals, telephony and approved software.
- Monitor system performance, uptime, storage, backups and security alerts, escalating issues where required.
- Ensure devices and systems remain updated with approved patches, antivirus protection and security configurations.
- Assist with firewall, VPN, Wi-Fi, LAN/WAN and internet connectivity troubleshooting.
- Maintain IT asset registers, licence records, support logs, technical documentation and standard operating procedures.
- Support data backup, recovery testing, disaster recovery readiness and business continuity activities.
- Assist with vendor liaison, procurement support, IT projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Promote compliance with RAC Human Capital’s IT policies, data protection requirements and cybersecurity standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Reside in the Helderberg area – This is non-negotiable
- Matric / Grade 12.
- Relevant qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Administration or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in IT support, systems administration or infrastructure support.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows desktop and server environments.
- Experience with Microsoft 365 administration, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive and user access management.
- Understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN, Wi-Fi and general networking principles.
- Experience with endpoint support, hardware troubleshooting, software installation and remote support tools.
- Knowledge of backups, patch management, antivirus tools and cybersecurity best practices.
- Ability to document incidents, resolutions, processes and technical changes clearly.
Advantageous
- Experience with Intune, endpoint management, virtualization, cloud platforms or ticketing systems.
- Experience in a call centre, outsourcing, BPO or multi-shift operational environment.
- Valid driver’s licence.
