Supply Chain Manager
Mission of the role:
As a Supply Chain Manager at Epiroc, your mission is to lead and optimise Weco's end-to-end supply chain activities, which include procurement, planning, warehousing, and logistics. You will play a crucial role in ensuring on-time delivery, cost efficiency, inventory optimisation, and operational reliability, thereby supporting production and fulfilling customer commitments within the mining sector.
Your Mission:
- Supply Chain & Operations Management: Lead order management, material planning, procurement, warehousing, and logistics functions. Ensure that material availability consistently meets production and customer demand. Collaborate cross-functionally to align supply chain strategies with production schedules and demand forecasts, and swiftly resolve supply-related challenges.
- Procurement & Supplier Management: Develop, implement, and manage purchasing strategies that reflect business priorities. Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure reliability and quality. Lead initiatives focused on cost-saving, supplier performance improvements, and strategic sourcing.
- Inventory & Warehouse Management: Oversee warehouse operations including stock accuracy, cycle counting, stock takes, and adherence to warehouse standards such as 5S and process layouts. Drive initiatives that optimise inventory levels to balance cost and availability.
- Logistics & Transport Optimisation: Manage inbound and outbound transportation and distribution effectively. Strive to improve delivery performance, enhance logistics efficiency, and reduce logistics-related expenses.
- Planning & Performance Management: Align the supply chain with production, sales, and demand forecasts, continuously monitoring key performance indicators to drive data-informed decisions and apply corrective actions when necessary.
- Compliance, Safety & Governance: Ensure full compliance with Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality (SHEQ) standards, legal regulations, and import/export requirements. Maintain a safe working environment within warehouse and logistics operations.
- Leadership & Team Development: Lead, coach, and mentor a diverse supply chain team to build capability and foster a culture of accountability and strong performance. Promote continuous learning and engagement within the team.
- Continuous Improvement & Strategy: Champion continuous improvement initiatives aimed at boosting efficiency, reducing costs, and optimising working capital. Support broader business growth initiatives through strategic supply chain innovations.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor's Degree or B-Tech in Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Logistics, Business Management, or related fields.
- 8 to 10 years of progressive experience in B2B supply chain and operations roles, with at least 5 years in managerial positions.
- Advanced proficiency in CRM, ERP systems, and MS Excel (advanced Excel skills are mandatory), and MS PowerPoint.
- Strong forecasting and demand planning expertise.
- Proven track record of managing and developing teams, specifically within procurement and warehousing environments.
- Valid driver's licence.
