We are looking for a hands-on, practical and highly organised individual to take responsibility for the consolidation, sorting and relocation of redundant machinery, steel, motors, equipment and other assets from multiple warehouses to a central storage location.
This is a hands-on supervisory role for someone who is comfortable working with their hands, leading a small team and making practical decisions about how materials should be dismantled, cut, grouped, packed and stored.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Supervise the clearing and consolidation of multiple warehouses.
· Identify, sort and categorise redundant machinery, steel, motors, equipment and other goods.
· Coordinate the safe movement and relocation of items to a central storage area.
· Organise materials into clearly defined groups for future use, disposal, refurbishment or storage.
· Oversee the dismantling of machinery and equipment where required.
· Cut and prepare steel and other suitable materials using a cutting torch.
· Group and bundle steel according to size, type and intended use.
· Assist with welding, fabrication and general maintenance-related work where required.
· Ensure materials are packed, stacked and stored safely and efficiently.
· Supervise loading and unloading activities and ensure goods are properly secured
· Identify items that can be salvaged, reused, repaired or scrapped.
· Keep the central storage area organised and clearly labelled.
· Maintain basic records of equipment, machinery and materials being moved and consolidated.
· Ensure good housekeeping and safe working practices throughout the process.
· Coordinate with management regarding priorities and the movement of assets between locations.
REQUIREMENTS
· The successful candidate should have:
· Previous experience in warehouse clearing, asset consolidation, maintenance, fabrication or a similar environment.
· Practical welding and fabrication experience.
· Ability to safely operate a cutting torch.
· Experience working with steel, machinery, motors and industrial equipment.
· Ability to dismantle, sort and organise machinery and materials.
· Strong practical problem-solving ability.
· Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
· The ability to supervise and direct other workers.
· A strong understanding of workplace safety.
· Physically fit and comfortable working in an industrial environment.
· Ability to work independently and take responsibility for completing a project.
· Forklift or other material-handling experience would be advantageous.

You will need the acumen to determine what should be kept together, what should be dismantled, what can be cut down, what should be packed and how everything should be stored efficiently.
ADVANTAGEOUS
· Welding qualification or proven welding experience.
· Cutting torch experience.
· Mechanical or maintenance background.
