We are looking for a highly motivated, organised, and tech-savvy Administrative Assistant to join our supermarket team. The ideal candidate must have strong administrative skills, experience in a supermarket or retail environment, and the ability to work under extreme pressure in a fast-paced business.

This role requires someone who is willing to learn, grow, take initiative, and support the business across various administrative and operational functions.

Minimum Requirements

3 to 5 years’ working experience in a supermarket, retail, or similar business environment.
Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Canva experience is essential.
Art, design, or creative experience will be beneficial.
Must be tech-savvy and comfortable learning new systems and software.
Must be willing to learn new tasks and take on additional responsibilities.
Must be able to work under extremely high pressure.
Must be organised, reliable, and detail-oriented.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

Perform general administrative duties as required by management.
Assist with creating posters, notices, adverts, and basic marketing material using Canva.
Assist with Microsoft Office documents, spreadsheets, reports, and presentations.
Support supermarket operations with filing, data capturing, record keeping, and document preparation.
Assist with internal communication, staff notices, and operational updates.
Help maintain organised office systems and records.
Support managers with day-to-day administrative tasks.
Assist with promotional planning, printing, and preparation where required.
Learn and adapt to new systems, processes, and business requirements.
Handle urgent tasks efficiently in a high-pressure retail environment.
Perform any other reasonable duties required by management.

Important Note

This role is not limited to the duties listed above. The successful candidate will be required to assist with general administrative and operational duties as the needs of the business arise.

Pay: R7 000,00 - R8 500,00 per month
