About Africa Talent
Africa Talent by Deloitte (Africa Talent) is a standalone division of Deloitte, owned by Deloitte Africa and Deloitte Netherlands, based in South Africa. Our goal is to meet the growing demand for Talent in Africa and Europe; by recruiting and developing Talent throughout Sub Saharan Africa to service the diverse needs and to enable projects at our clients. Talent employed will have the full experience of Deloitte, while getting both international and local exposure to a diverse set of clients, working remotely from Africa. It will take advantage of the demographic reality of Africa as a future source of talent for both Africa and Europe and at its core, the goal is to create employment in Africa and invest in African talent.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities

Conduct formal assurance engagements against AI standards and regulations, applying ISAE 3000 principles to provide independent assurance over AI systems, governance, and controls.

Lead assurance and audit readiness assessments for clients implementing AI, identifying control gaps and regulatory compliance risks.

Advise clients on designing AI governance and control frameworks that are fit for audit, ensuring controls are demonstrable, documented, and auditable.

Work embedded with clients on large-scale AI implementation projects, ensuring systems are built with "auditable by design" principles from inception.

Help clients develop auditable AI-related disclosures, particularly in sustainability reports, aligned with emerging disclosure standards.

Work across organizational levels - from technical teams to C-suite executives -translating complex regulatory and control concepts into actionable insights.

Stay ahead of emerging AI regulations, industry standards, and assurance methodologies, continuously learning and sharing knowledge.

We offer a flexible work arrangement balancing collaboration with autonomy - a mix of client site work, office-based collaboration, and remote work. Qualifications

A completed Masters degree in Accounting, Computer Science, Engineering or related field.

At least 1 - 2 years of professional experience in internal audit, external audit, risk management, or controls testing.

Strong knowledge of controls design and testing methodologies.

Familiarity with AI regulations and governance frameworks, particularly the EU AI Act and ISO 42001.

Demonstrated ability to use AI tools effectively and develop practical use-cases.

Excellent presentation writing and delivery skills.

Continuous learning mindset with evidence of upskilling in emerging areas.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Excellent English language proficiency: Dutch language skills are a plus.
