iqx the Technology Division of iqbusiness is seeking an experienced Java Spring Developer to join its software engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining enterprise-grade applications that support critical banking services.
This role is ideal for a developer who is passionate about building scalable, high-performance backend systems while collaborating within agile, cross-functional teams. You will contribute throughout the software development lifecycle, from solution design through to deployment and production support, while following engineering best practices and quality standards.

Design, develop, and maintain robust Java applications using Spring Boot.

Develop secure, scalable, and high-performance RESTful APIs and microservices.

Build and execute automated unit tests using JUnit to ensure code quality and reliability.

Manage application builds and dependencies using Gradle or Maven.

Develop and deploy containerized applications using Docker.

Collaborate with business analysts, solution architects, QA engineers, and frontend developers to deliver high-quality banking solutions.

Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.

Conduct peer code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Troubleshoot production issues and implement performance enhancements.

Ensure solutions comply with the bank's security, governance, and coding standards.

Stay current with emerging Java technologies, development frameworks, and engineering best practices.

Oracle Java Certification or equivalent Java-related certification.

Experience with modern software engineering practices and DevOps.

Exposure to AI-assisted development tools, coding assistants, or Agentic AI technologies would be advantageous.

Strong Java development experience (Java 11+ preferred).

Solid experience with the Spring Framework, particularly Spring Boot.

Experience developing RESTful APIs and microservices.

Strong knowledge of JUnit and automated testing practices.

Experience using Gradle or Maven.

Hands-on experience with Docker and containerized application deployment.

Familiarity with Git and version control best practices.

Understanding of relational databases and SQL.

Basic knowledge of frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or modern frameworks is advantageous.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Agile development methodologies.

5+ years of professional Java software development experience.

Proven experience developing enterprise-scale applications using Spring Boot.

Experience working within Agile software delivery teams.

Financial services or banking industry experience would be advantageous.
