Anylytical Technologies is looking for a Senior Java Software Engineer to produce and implement functional software solutions. You will work with upper management to define software requirements and take the lead on operational and technical projects. In this role, you should be able to work independently with little supervision. You should have excellent organization and problem-solving skills. Your goal will be to develop high-quality software that is aligned with user needs and business goals. Furthermore, the position involves guiding, advising, informing and mentoring team members to enable them to perform the tasks required guiding advising informing mentoring team members by their roles to the best of their ability. The Senior Software Engineer must ensure that the development team functions in such a way as to optimise development to conform to the company vision and strategic objectives. The Senior Software Engineer is also the communications bridge between the client, the team and management.
Responsibilities:
- Compose testing plans and schedules
- Perform validation and verification testing
- Producing, testing and debugging code
- Develop high-quality software design and architecture
- Identify, prioritise and execute tasks in the software development life cycle
- Develop applications by producing clean, and efficient code
- Review and debug code
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors
- Mentor junior and intermediate Software Engineers
- Perform several tasks on projects
Requirements:
- 5-8 years of experience
- Intrinsic passion for learning and self-development
- Proven experience as a Senior Software Engineer
- Extensive experience in software development
- Experience using automated testing frameworks
- Knowledge of Java, Jarkarta EE platform and the Spring Framework
- In-depth knowledge of relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MySQL, MsSQL)
- Familiarity with various operating systems (Linux, Mac OS, Windows)
- Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
- Ability to work independently without supervision
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Experience in solving problems and tasks of different complexity
- The understanding of the full scope of the project required that his team is responsible for and can delegate tasks in an effective manner
- Can experiment/test, validate assumptions and connect the dots to reach a conclusion
- Has the profound view of the project development and suggests the best ways to develop having in mind the final market goal
- BSc/Computer Science/Software Engineering or any related informatics and science/engineering degree or a professional programming or developer-related certification or training
