We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Planning Engineer with 10–15 years of proven experience in large-scale construction or infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for project planning, scheduling, monitoring progress, and ensuring timely completion of projects within budget and scope. Experience in international project environments, particularly in Africa, will be an added advantage.
Develop, monitor, and update detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 / MS Project.
Prepare baseline programs, look-ahead schedules, and recovery plans.
Track project progress and identify critical path activities.
Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, procurement, and subcontractors.
Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports and dashboards.
Conduct delay analysis and prepare Extension of Time (EOT) claims where required.
Monitor resource allocation (manpower, equipment, materials).
Support cost control team with progress measurement and earned value analysis.
Participate in project review meetings and client coordination meetings.
Ensure compliance with contractual milestones and project deliverables.
Identify risks and propose mitigation strategies.
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Construction Management.
Certification in Primavera (P6) preferred.
PMP certification is an advantage.
Strong knowledge of project management principles and construction methodologies.
10–15 years of experience in project planning and scheduling.
Minimum 5 years of experience on large infrastructure / commercial / industrial projects.
Experience working on international projects, preferably in Africa.
Hands-on experience with Primavera P6 is mandatory.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Expertise in Critical Path Method (CPM).
Knowledge of delay analysis techniques.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work in multicultural and remote project environments.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel advanced level preferred).
High attention to detail and strong reporting skills.
Willingness to relocate to South Africa / Zanzibar.
Ability to work on rotational assignments if required.
