We are seeking an experienced and innovative Solution Architect to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing scalable, secure, and cost-effective technology solutions that align with business objectives and enterprise architecture standards. The role requires close collaboration with business stakeholders, project teams, and technical specialists to deliver integrated solutions across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end technology solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
- Develop solution architectures aligned with enterprise architecture principles and governance.
- Evaluate and recommend technology platforms, cloud solutions, and integration approaches.
- Ensure solution designs comply with security, risk, and regulatory requirements.
- Produce architecture documentation, technical specifications, and design standards.
- Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, developers, infrastructure, and security teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Review and approve technical designs and provide architectural guidance to delivery teams.
- Identify opportunities for technology innovation and continuous improvement.
- Support digital transformation initiatives and cloud migration strategies.
- Participate in architecture governance forums and design reviews.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree (NQF Level 7) in:
- Computer Science
- Information Systems
- Information Technology
- Software Engineering
- Enterprise Architecture
- or an equivalent qualification.
- Professional certification in one or more of the following:
- TOGAF
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect
- Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect
- or another recognised enterprise/solution architecture certification.
- Minimum 10 years' experience in Solution Architecture and/or Enterprise Architecture.
- Demonstrated experience designing enterprise-scale technology solutions.
- Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud).
- Experience with systems integration, APIs, microservices, and enterprise applications.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Applicants with the following will have an added advantage:
- Honours or Postgraduate Degree (NQF Level 8) in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or Enterprise Architecture.
- Master's Degree (NQF Level 9) in a relevant field.
- Multiple architecture and cloud certifications (e.g., TOGAF plus AWS and Azure Solutions Architect certifications).
- Experience leading enterprise digital transformation programmes.
- Knowledge of architecture frameworks and modelling tools (e.g., ArchiMate, UML, BPMN).

Experience Requirement
