Overall Reviews at PEP
Merchandiser | Waterfall, KwaZulu-Natal | 22 Sep 2016
productivity and friendly work place
I see Pep as a good company. They give someone a chance to prove herself. They train you where necessary. The Management are so friendly. Even the staff is so friendly. A typical day at work is when I arrive early, whereas i was to start at 10 am, I came at 8 am. I learn to operate the till. and merchandising. Management is so good. My co-worker treat me very good. the hardest part of the job is merchandising. the most enjoyable part at work is operating till.
Prosthere is no free luch, but we do have day offs
ConsOn Saturday I work long hours

Afforded opportunity to grow in management
in as much as there are policies but there was always a room to grow,
learn new ways each day to solve problems and perform tasks better as time goes by,
managing by focusing on interpersonal dynamics , understanding others and yourself, let the policies govern you and lead by example.
hardest part of the job was having to discipline staff , you cannot control what emotional feedback you will get the challenge will be how well you handle it
always backing myself was always an exciting thing for me, that means study and be knowledgeable so that you know how to stand firm in you post there is nothing as exciting as having answers to most of the questions. and luckily for me I was afforded a chance to run the Regional CSI projects which on two consecutive years for the first time in our Region I won them awards for
Prosgood sales came with rewards so i treated my staff and also elebrated their birthdays
Consstanding for too long when is stock take time

Theres no fun in the workplace always busy
To be part of the biggest company all over the world it's an honour to work for, for the past years that ive been working in pep it's not so good as it seems, they said that the company is a wealthy company to work for but as I've seen it's not true ,in my area where am working our management it's not good we as the staff must work long hours and after hours but don't get overtime, we are working over weekends till late we can't even go out on weekends or spent time with our family and friends because we are always working and that's not right when we try to talk to our manager she doesn't listen to us we must ask for a day or so to just get sum rest how does the manager get more day's off but when we as staff just ask than we can't get a day to rest and how can PEP say they are a wealthy company when our salaries is not so good we must work very hard but doesn't even see what we are working for through the month, and how can the p27 do the permanents job but don't get rewarded for that they are doing the most work in the work place but they salaries is up 2, 500rand n week how does that work for all their hard work, I think it's pathetic
ProsWe dont get lunches

Assisting customers, I've learned how to be patient, with myself and other people, management was always understanding and fair, always helped where she can, and always listened to everyone. Everyone loved working with each other. Hardest part of the job, was dealing with rude customers. Sewing different people and being in touch with fashion.
Consshort lunch breaks

Good Company For Growth
Pep looks after their staff and they encourage you to grow within your career by assisting and supporting you. Moving up in the ranks is easy if you're a hard and dedicated worker.
They make you feel appreciated by acknowledging when you doing a good job.
Everyone is called on their first names and although a corporate company, the culture can make anyone feel at home.
ProsSocial event one Friday per month
