Overall Reviews at Nestlé

Good working environment
I will usually plan my day starting by tasking down everything that I needed to attended to, as I complete the task I tick it, this helped me to complete my daily tasks. I loved Nestle Management, they have believed in me and I was given roles to do or handle on my own with no supervision, I was an EE Forum member and a Wellness Champion, there was a time I did not have a manager to report to and I ran the CHEP Account on my own, I was given a certificate for a job well done. I have learned a lot especially to work with different kinds of people, understand them personally and in a work environment and by so doing, I have built myself a family with these people. The hardest part was when I was faced with a difficult customer who does not want to return pallets but I found a way to make them aware that it is costing Nestle as they are sitting with these pallets, I usually send them a spreadsheet with all the cost and notify them that these will be billed under their account, the munite they realise how much are the pallets costing them, they will quickly make arrangements for us to collect the pallets. I was satisfied and relieved when I knock off knowing that I did my job proudly and solved all the problems for the day, if I did not have challenges, my day would be slow and I'll end up being bored. I also enjoyed being a Wellness Champ, this made me the person who I am and I knew every employee, all the events held I as part of the organisers.
ProsBeing an EE Member and Wellness Champion

Productive, Challenges and Fun
An employee enters the office because he/she is not happy about the extra charge that medical aid had deducted from his/her salary. The employee is not happy because this has lead to some debit orders not being successful and has to pay double the following month, talking to an unhappy employee is the same as talking to unhappy customer nor guest because what ever explaination you give to them is not good.
I have learnt to deal with the issue thereinthen so that when they leave the office they feel better that you have made an attempt and trustes that you will follow up and provede feedback. Once feedback is received i ensure that they get the response until the matter is resolved.
Management is supportive and whatever information required from them they provide, for others might not deliver in time, in such instances you have to follow up. To sum this up our management works as one team.
KPIs are the measures that drives my co-workers to be productive at all times. Ensuring that the targets are met and safety is also adhered to.
The hardest part of the job is when I am not able to assist anyone be it management or shopfloor, but I always try my utmost to assist.
The most enjoyable part of the job is when I am able to assist and explain any procedure, policy or occurrence that they were not clear about. Happy employees are always productive and that the standard motto that keeps me strong at learning more pertaining to HR.
ProsBirthday Lunches, Hampers

Customer orientated and relaxed atmosphere
Nestle is very customer orientated and has a very relaxed working atmosphere. They create a sense of belonging and make you feel welcome.
There were always new things to learn and each day had its own challenges. My knowledge about the company and the products expanded since I first joined the company and I can proudly say that I am an employee of Nestle.
Some of my most exciting times were spend at Nestle and my co-workers would agree that some of events we can remember as if it happend yesterday. Quite a learning experience of both good and bad which could be added to my personal box of experience, knowledge and memories.
The hardest part of my job was Communication. Communication with internal departments was bad. Meetings was held with members of management and information was not always filtered down to the relevant staff members but as always you end up using your initiative and making the best of the situation.
My most enjoyable part of the job was being able to service a customer and being able to say to myself and others that you can be proud of yourself for a job well done and working so well as a team. I was always surrounded by a group of good co-workers and we always maintained a good positive attitude
ProsFree lunch at times
ConsLong working hours

Productive goal oriented workplace with interesting and diverse cultures, working together to make the job a pleasant experience.
Work from 06:30 to 15:00. Dealing with sales reps from third party companies for the purchasing of packaging materials for ice cream.
Work in conjunction with Strategic Buyers and Production staff to maintain standards and availability of materials so as not to hinder production.
I learnt that dedication, attention to detail, a pleasant disposition and professionalism is key to getting the job done timeously and effectively.
Management is always there to assist, guide and give cultivated advice when necessary.
My co-workers and I work as a team, holding a meeting every morning to anticipate and counter any issues that may arise. We have acquired knowledge of each others work in order to assist one another when or if it is necessary.
The hardest part of the job is monitoring service delivery on import products.
the most enjoyable part of the job is the satisfaction of maintaining service delivery, and having a smooth factory run on the product without delays.
ProsFlexi hours and overall work place satisfaction
ConsTravelling distance to the factory site and 24hr availability for confirmation of deliveries.

Diverse company culturaly, race and age. the common thread for the company is respect. Its great company to work for.
Review operations on a daily basis, what happened the day before, what where the challenges met, come up with solutions and set targets for the current day. I have learned to manage my stakeholders(my team, external & internal customers and my manage). I needed to carefully pay attention to performing each of the key management roles of planning, organizing, leading and controlling. I had to manage the performance of my team inspire and coach them. Manage departmental budget and service agreement levels. The working environment is based on respect for self , others and the company values. The hardest part of the job is when factories have out of norm hygiene levels, where the factory is in urgent need of analytical results in order to release the product to the market on time. The most enjoyable part of my job is when I get a buy in from my team on delivering results on time and watch them run with the idea to completion. .
ProsPerformance is rewarded
ConsLong hours when there is a business need

productive and fun work place
Nestle Estcourt was a place that I enjoyed working at every day was a learning day especially because I was coming from college and I had no experience of a drawing office I learned of how drawing office operate from project manager to engineers to draftsman, planing, doing prelim drawing, tender drawings to construction drawings all was new I particular, Nestle is a big company so management was good though not in all sectors in drawing office as I was there for more than 2 years, the hardest part of the job is I was required to perform like a very expense draftsman who knows everything engineers weren't so supportive in giving their concept view in particular projects so I had to make sure that I do it by my self and do it in correct way, it was fun though working for nestle because the environment in the office and to go out to plant was something that I enjoyed the most as there was a lot to learn the measure of learning was unlimited.

I have learned to take every challenge i come across as an opportunity to do better than i did before. team player, address and treat people with respect and you will receive the same treatment back. handle difficult situations very calmly.
Management: Highly professional, motivational and knowledgeable individuals i have ever worked with.
I enjoy problem solving

Hardest part of the job is when I have many breakdown ,,then I have ti prioritise on the criticality of the line
That is when I manage to solve many breakdowns in a short space of time,, and also preventing a breakdown to happen

Project Planner | Estcourt, KwaZulu-Natal | 21 Jun 2013
Every morning, first thing in the projects office is the Daily Projects Review meeting. Thereafter, the contractors work and problems are discussed with engineers and project manager. throughout the day, tracking of the project activities, progression and improvement of the project schedule is carried out for the Egron 5 spray drying project(major). I am also currently busy with my own project in the boiler house(minor). I have learned about the various phases and procedures carried out throughout the project, mechanical engineering designing and how to work with different people, both individually and in teams. My co-workers are very professional in there work, as they are from engineering, procurement and finance. the hardest part of my job is trying to work with two managers who have two different opinions. The best part of my job is that I get to learn more than one thing every day.
