Productive and Fast growing retail store.
Great staff team. Fast growing company. Short Staffed in most areas. Short of systems to make the work load for managers more manageable. Short staffed on managers and supervisors. Unions is causing allot of unnecessary problems in the work space. Sometimes there is just to much work to do for one person. Deadlines reachable with the correct support.
ProsFinancial Stability with managers salary, fellow management support.
ConsNo management lunches. No management weekends off. Long working hours each day for Management.

I enjoyed my day at as a worker. As time went on I started having some issues with the employer and I realized that this job has some kind of difficulties. The difficulties was that the job was fast paced and I could not cope with that. Then as time went on I started having some trouble with the employer and that is when having some thoughts that I want to leave the job.

Fun and Target driven
The day is according to the shifts and hours that you work.It was good because you work with people that you assist when buying their everyday requirements. There is good management, you have to assist customers, issue them receipts and attend to them when they have questions. The hardest part of the job is when a customer is having a disagreement with you it becomes difficult because it has to involve manager or supervisor.
ProsHighest chances of growing within the company
ConsLong hours

Fun workplace and meeting and meeting people everyday
Working at food lovers was fun I enjoyed working there because I was dealing with people and im a friendly person except the fact that i was a cashier and they didn't allow cashiers to sit on the chairs they wanted them to stand the whole day not that I mind standing but its better when u move around not standing in one place but when u are a cashier u can't move around
ProsFree transport when working until late
ConsWorking on weekends and long hours
Office Clerk | Western Cape | 08 Jun 2015
Good company to work for.
Each day at work I took it day by day. The management team is ambitous people. My co-workers really looked up to me, very respectfull and loved working with them. Payroll is fun to do, only if the manager doesn't sign off overtime and now the staff comes with queries, then I have to take the blame as always. As for the banking section, I have a passion for working with money, dealing with the bank directly. I love keeping me options open.
Cons8 hours daily at work.
Kitchen Manager | Tzaneen, Limpopo | 13 Sept 2018
Fun workplace
You have to start very early in the mornings, making sure that all preparations for the days trade are done. Great working environment, employees very friendly, hardworking and helpful. There is really no hard part of the job, just need to be energetic and hardworking. The most enjoyable part of the job is that Management has this saying of one for all and all for one, so no matter what we laugh together and we work hard.
ProsFamily orientated Company
ConsLong Hours
General Assistant | East London, Eastern Cape | 26 Feb 2019
Productive and fun workplace
Some days are better than others but I've learned how to speak to customers and sell them store products. Management is erratic but very efficient and I respect them for that. The workplace culture is family orientated and the hardest thing about the job is dealing with unruly customers and some co worker egos. By far the best experience has to be working with people and working well with otters
ProsLunch hours
ConsLong hours

it was a high pressure environment but exciting learning new retail culture and the staff was brilliant made me feel at home
worked six days a week and we had shift which started 8 and knock off at 3:30 the afternoon shift which stated at 1 and finish at 8 , morning shift and afternoon shift. you would log in start your week , you had 15 minutes break, then 1 hr lunch. management were awesome people they made us feel at home and were understanding.. The work culture was to strive to give clients or customers a great experiencing of their shopping as pleasant as possible and increase the satisfaction as well. The hard part of the job was , would say it was a high pressure environment it was demanding but above all it challenged me to bring best out of me. would the most enjoyable moment when sometimes would interact with the customers as well as other staff seeing how each and everyone is unique in their own way.
Supervisor | Mauritius | 22 Jul 2018
Had both good and bad moments over there
Being an Admin Supervisor I gain many experiences from the company but in short I have make my own efforts to learn many more things. We were living in a good relationship with the staffs and try to understand every issue of each one. But there was so many differentiate among cultures which were creating problems every-time. Too much discrimination. The hardest part of the job was when I was working alone. Got too much workloads and had to bring attendances to work at night. The most enjoyable part of the job was on every Christmas Eve as an Admin Supervisor I was organizing something special to all the staffs.
ProsFree vouchers
Cash Assistant | Lusaka | 14 Sept 2016
productive and peaceful workplace
I learnt how to work under pressure and accurate as retail is very busy. I also learnt to be a team player because of my workmates who where supportive and helpful. the management was very helpful, i received a massive training which made me perform to company's expectations. the hardest time was the first day at work, there was no proper coordination among our selves, money would be mixed up anyhow as a result the float could not balance that day and we hard to use our money to replace. I enjoyed Calculations, advising Cashiers on how they can improve on the shortages.
Prosstaff price items
Consnormal hour and long hours where there was need
