fun work enviroment, team orientated and a lot of experience gained
coming in at work at about 7h15 in oder to save the daily reports and preparing for a daily start up meeting and the rest of the day, dancing and games for about 5min during the meeting in order to energize the team. Duties are communicated to everyone for the day during the meeting and relevant documents are distributed. At 8H00 my admin duties and abservations start, with arrears investigation, paydate management, coaching, abservations and assisting with client service. From this job I learned how to multi task and the importance of being professional, effecient,a team player and managing different people. In the company as an employees there was always more than one duty to some, for instance as a consultant I was also a teller and did admin duties but most importantly in all my roles what was giving out excellent client service with each and every client assisted. I worked with a lot of different managers,Regional managers and operational managers and all were very professional and I learned alot of valueble innformation from all of them and the most important thing that was stressed was that as an individual you are in control of your own succcess and you must grab every opportunity given to you to shine and always remember that client service is the key to success for the business. I've worked in 6 branches in the compnay and have gotten along with everyone I worked with for the most part but did experience some tension with co workers when I was appointed as an assistant bra

One of the 25 future brands in the world.
We spend 8 hours at work with an hour lunch break. Our typical day at work starts off with a start up meeting where we discuss internal work related communication, concerns, ideas to implement to improve the working environment and work performance. The days plan is set out by management on the daily planner where our daily tasks are indicated. Our duties and responsiblities will include servicing clients, telemarketing, filing, coaching and on the job training. Service consultants get promoted into management with little managment experience that can create hostile working conditions. As front line employees we work closly with other direct reports and management. Our organistions is rich in culture and climate with a huge diverse group so we learn a lot from different personalities. As Service consultants we are recruited based on the right attributes, character, ethics, experience, intellectual capacity, knowlegde, qaulifications, skills and values to achieve to organistion objective. We have a very challenging position as we assist clients face to face, need assistance from our support departments, need to meet the operational business objects to sustain business and require vast customer service, problem solving, operating in pressurised environment, result driven and relationship management skills. The most enjoyable part of our job is job significance. We are our own visual managers. We contribute to our own success, development and our pockets and dealing with
ProsWith all overtime worked we accumulate off days, we have a rich diverse group of employees, we have excellent development structures, we train on the job

hard working enegertic fun supportive at work
When one client walked in very angry because she tried to with draw cash but funds never dispense when I tried to explain to her about the process she got worse but I kept calm telling her that I understand her situation after listing careful what was complaining about, so I did log inn the complain on her behalf and I informed her that her money was going be refunded before the end of the day. She left the branch satisfied. I learned that when the client is angry its not because she deliberately want to cause problem but its because she does not understand, so putting yourself in her shoes its very important but never sympathise but empathise. Management something is lacking with our management like skills to manage as they never took some of them to L2M trainings, The way they put people on vacant higher positions was not right but as time goes on things are changing to better slowly. My team is the best team, sometimes the can act like they do not care at all but since I am in higher position with them I always do my best to influence them in a good way as we have to work as a team in order for us to deliver what is expected of us. Hardest part of the job is to make sure that everyone deliver what she or he was assigned to do for the day as they will give you attitude when you ask them to submit. Enjoyable, knowing that everyday I have new targets to make people to manage and make sure that I make difference in their growth as well, different clients to meet ev

Capitec as a company values its clients and prides its self on client service.
I enjoy working with people from different cultural and intellectual backgrounds. Dealing with clients everyday teaches me how to be humble not to be judgemental and try bring the best of me to work daily but its not always a good day for everyone, there are difficult clients and there's those clients who genuinely need your patience for me to be able to help them and make sure they understand everything.Communication barriers lead to misunderstandings between management and employees which is what i think gets everyone frustrated from employees to clients in general and it leads to a non-productive working environment and sometimes poor client service.Hardest part of my job is trying to go the extra mile for a client only to end up being blocked in the end or meeting obstacles that can easily be overcome but because of the environment its difficult.I work with the most competent bunch of people who love to help each other and are fun loving and hard workers. This job requires patience, motivation and quite a bit of empathy because of the clientele we meet every day you get to be in their shoes and hear their life stories thus making it easier to help them.Love the company for teaching me client service.

Used to be a very fun although very productive workplace. Of late it was still very productive but the fun was taken out of every day by inconsistenc
Typical day at work will start with travelling very early to be in planned branch at 07:00 to attend start-up meetings with all team members in the branch. Doing planned Detailed Branch Visit, and or Efficiency Visit. Do coaching where necessary. Take disciplinary actions should it be necessary. Assess client service and become involved in client service as part of show and tell for branch teams on how it should be done I have learned a lot of patience in that every individual learns at a different pace. Of late the top management to middle management became very inconsistent in how they expected things to be done. There was also a lot of (sad to say in today's time and age) racism towards other races that could not longer be tolerated. The co-workers always supported each other and culture of mutual respect was high priority. The hardest part of the job was dealing with the inconsistent ways of top management in the day to day operations they expected of the branches. The most enjoyable part of the job was the constant growth and changes that had to be implemented as it created an opportunity of learning and teaching others new skills

Capitec tries hard to be a Good employer, But We push harder and Not get recognised
I Worked for Capitec Bank for some time And On the good side, Capitec is on a Building block, And the bank itself has changed many peoples lives. The Main problem is dependant on the branch you work at, If the branch has many 10+ years Experience staff, Some Can create a toxic workplace because of The inflexibility the company has of its staff, and Also The salary structure is the lowest of all of the other 4 main banks. I would only recommend Capitec as a Workplace to learn and grow yourself as a Person, and You have a vast knowledge of Technology and Processing information , As Policies changes every now and then. Be able to Not just work under pressure but also be able to have a strong back for where you are not performing, especially because Capitec Has Huge expectations from its staff, and the more you exceed is the more you Gain in performance bonus. Lastly, Not only some management, But also some Experienced personnel Actually rot the whole sack of Potatoes. Make sure you make the workspace as less toxic as possible by working hard and Also being disciplined, selling Capitec Products, and Don't accept mediocrity. Challenge the mediocrity you get from your fellow personnel, especially the rotten potatoes.

Goal driven and exciting
A typical day at work would be pre -planned the previous as to what needs to be done in the particular day, but you will also have the adhoc things like customer complaints that will take priority and what is left in that day to complete you can continue with the days tasks, if you don't get to everything you will plan for it for the following day. I have learned that one must plan to work and most importantly , work the plan. There is a common objective in place, and every manager with his dfiferent management style with get to it in their own way. Some will give you the neccesary training and support, get your buy in , will make sure, you know what is expected off you and allow you the platform to do your job. others on the other hand will micro manage you to the bone. The culture is to focus on the people and create a healthy work environment. The hardest part of the job was how to acquire new clients monthly, based upon the town and area you found yourself in, so basically you had to know the client base and their specific needs and how our product offer could meet that need to achieve ones objective. The most enjoyable part of the job is the constant for growth, so one will not become board in position
ProsGood incentive structtures, and bonuses

Productive
We have our morning meetings for 15min. 8am sharp we are at our desks serving clients. One break in a day (lunch) for an hour and NO tea breaks in between. We check filing when there are no clients, sales and telemarketing campaigns when there are no clients. Write down every client's name set up as a data base for missed opportunities and do follow ups as per company request. At the end of the day we collect all documentation for filing purposes and we head home after 6pm. What we learn is a lot of patience goes a long way. Listening attentively to a client and their needs and we will be able to provide them with the solutions that they need at the time. The hardest part of the job is having outside management tell you what to do, when and how when they've had little experience working around the clock with difficult clients as well as changing all systems which we are only starting to get used to then we'd have to get to know a new system and make it work before clients would get suspicious. The enjoyable part of working here is working with a team that understands that one vision and multiple hands and minds can push targets and a vision to its fullest potential.

overall experience
working here was a very nice experience had its ups and downs just like any other workplace. I worked with the greatest work team ,my co-workers were the best we were all close it practically felt like family. they were my pillar of strength, when u would feel like giving up we were always there for each other.my typical day of work would be waking up knowing I am going to serve different clients with different needs, try to assist to the best of my ability et not get personal. the hardest thing about my job was failing to assist a client the you see is really in need ,but at the same time working in their best interest because we do not want to over expose them to debts. I have learnt to patient and to understand people but importantly applying the two factors without being personal. separating business from personal feelings. for me management was leaking the didn't know how to separate friendship from ownership .i believe management must interact well with employees yet they should be boundaries, because the boundaries keep respect amongst yourself and avoids favouritism. overall the experience was an adventure well learnt

The environment is challenging and ensures that you grow in all aspects.
We started our day with a start-up meeting, this is where learning sessions took place. To continually ensure that we are on top of our game with our product knowledge and that were are ahead of the competition. We held these meetings from 07H30-8H00 Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. Wednesdays we took whole hour. I have never had a challenge with time but Capitec Bank ensured that I respect time even more. In everything that I have learnt, Client comes first, these are the very important people, it does not matter how I feel it is not about me but about the VIP. We always change managers from time to time. If you wanted to be happy, you were supposed to learn how your manager works and align with their unique style. Culture of learning; It was what defined the company and what makes it grow and succeed. Convincing a loyal client to switch their salary to our Bank. Winning a loyal client to eventually Bank with us and also convincing a client who did not come to the Bank with a loan need to walk out with money in their account.
ProsIncentives
ConsPoor performance which resulted in you not getting incentives
