Fun and exciting work enviornment.
I would run a behavioral modification class with 15 other trainers/ handlers at 7:00 a.m. We would train our canines basic behaviors such as sit, down, come, stay, heel, ect. Along with other behaviors such as "leave it", "quiet", "hurry", "up", "over", "under", "no teeth", ect. During the after noon I would train my canine behaviors on my own. Teaching them basic behaviors along with tricks such as "roll over", "play dead", "take a bow", ect. After that I would supervise a group of dogs playing in the play pit. Twice a week I would clean their kennel. Once a week I would bathe and groom them. I would also brush their teeth once to three times a week. Potty pits would get cleaned and deodorized twice a week. The whole team would help each other with any problems or obstacles we came across. I would perform intake veterinary checks on all dogs. I really loved seeing the dogs smile when they know they have done right. The best part of the job was knowing that one day, that dog was going to go home with a wonderful family that would love them!
ProsKnowing that a family would be safe and happy with their new family member.
ConsSome times i'd get a "biter".
