Overall
Working at Hollywoodbets provided valuable experience and opportunities for growth. While the company faced challenges in its retail business, the workplace culture and management training programs were positives.

Working at Hollywood Bets is an experience that's hard to describe, yes, there's a ton of work, it gets quite hairy at times, but even though we get so busy, we're always having fun. 

The higher up's go out of their way to give staff every opportunity to grow, gain knowledge and constantly come up with new benefits and incentives. 

These benefits aren't just for the management, everyone, from the cleaner to the security guard gets treated really well and gets rewarded for their hard work and input of ideas. 

For me the hardest part of my job is just traffic in my area when I'm going home,  I know some people may find that hard to believe, but that really is the hardest part of my day. 

The atmosphere here is something that's really awesome and I'm glad I've been given a chance to be part of the family!

Mostly what I learned was I made a wrong decision of working for them. I started working from them last year October and I entered a competition in November of R15000 for regional-Christmas competition. 

My team won the competition and things started to change. Area Management doesn’t separate a Sales Agent and a Team Leader. The is an unfair treatment that you get. You can pass your mother even if it’s raining but your vehicle stays in your house. The are times you passing your child school but you can’t do anything. 

Last month I made a decision to resign because it was unfair and it was stressing me out. I’m now working a better job I will never work for sales jobs.

A typical day at work will include dealing with e-mails, scheduling social media posts across all platforms as well as producing content for the blog. 

I've learned how to operate within a large organisation. 

Management are excellent and never treat you as if you are just an employee. I share excellent rapport with my superior and it makes the office a pleasant place to be. 

I share the same rapport with my diverse group of co-workers that I do with my manager. 

The most challenging part of the job is dealing with several big deadlines in a very short space of time. 

The two most enjoyable parts of the job are interacting with colleagues and the almost endless room for growth.

At first being employed at this company was overwhelming, little did I know what I am getting myself into, It's environment is populated by people who think they know it all especially one designated racial group that tend to treat other personnel(Betting Clerks) as robots when it comes operation on the floor with little attention with what they perceive on the their day-to-day business experience.
Nevertheless there were days where someone would find him/herself drowned with a lot of unknown shortages cause by their system and you have to pay those shortages as if you took the money even though you you didn't. That environment really sucks!


my day at work was always about dealing with students assisting them in terms of borrowing and loaning books in the library.  I learned a lot on communication, customer service, handling complaints as well as problem solving techniques.  The management style there was good in terms of task delegations as well as supervision.  I had a good relationship with my co-workers on the job and outside.  The hardest part of the job was when the students don't follow rules and regulations stipulated and I had to do damage control because and the end of the day I was there to assist them I had to ensure that they assisted in every possible way.  What I enjoyed the most was when all the students needs are met and they get assistance.

A typical day at work it's when the punter complain about shortage of stationary #coupons for them to rite on,what I belive I learn at work is to always greet the customers with a smile and give our punters a good customers service and our culture at work place it's create #Ubuntu so that our customer will feel at home nd the place we're they want to come back an bet again,and the hardest part of my job it's when our customers are not happy and start swearing and complaining about short of staff and standing long on the ques and the network offline.The most enjoyable part of the job when we reach our monthly targets making money for the company and our Punters winning it's good .

What is the best part of working at the company?
I don't have any best part working there, The leaders are resist giving promotions to their sisters and brothers

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Busy days and having less clerks on duty and being told on last minute that you have to stay. Being forced for overtime

Nice Environment coz you can have your tattoos piercings dress the way you so comfortable 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Serving customers in a good manner all the day , practicing the values and being the dedicated person that I am in job description do expected all the time , applying my skills and learning new ones.

Hollywood was my first job I enjoyed everything about my job. They grew me and opened my eyes when it comes to business, they allowed me to use my talents (marketing and sales). I learnt to be a hard-core in business and be strong and firm and how to work with different people with different characters. I used to travel a lot and doing what I love most which is interacting with people in marketing and sales projects. The hardest part of my job was to go to the branch at night when there are break-ins or when the alarm goes on at night, and when there was a break-in in one of my branches I had to transport cash every day until the time delay safe is fixed.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The best part about working at Hollywoodbets was getting an opportunity to grow within the company and get an opportunity to learn a lot about the gambling world and being able to engage with a lot of different people on a daily basis and still give the best customer service possible.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Dealing with difficult customers, whereby some of them are depressed and are addicted to gambling which leads to them being aggressive at most.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The environment was very warm we all treated each other like family
