Our day would start by checking the ambulances and restocking if needed. After that our Base Manager would have a meeting with us all and we would all give inputs to what is needed for the day and how we can improve our service to the public. Training will take place to insure that we all remember how to do things still like rapid take downs exc . 

Er24 Welkom for me was one if not the best Base I have worked for even to overseas. The base and staff are truly a great team thats like a family. We all work together from cleaning the base to ambulances and on call we are one. 

The hardest part of the job would be for me is that people don't always see what they do to others by doing things illegally.

The thing i love most about my job is that today you saved a life tomorrow , a month later you see that person walking in town with his /her family and you know you saved that life. No payment can take that feeling away.

Only the strong survive . You learn how to adapt , overcome and improvise effectively.  So in all fairness I’d say that the staff are wonderful , growth is available but boundaries outside of your job description has to made . Take that step or someone else will . A lot of trauma is induced and absorbed that are shown but colleagues but most suppress . Working in an EMS environment humbles to and makes you really appreciate and question your mortality . We help to save lives , around the clock . It’s a lot and worth it . 

High pressure high call volumes daily, that double on weekends and public holidays.
Emotional intelligence is what I've learnt from this company.
Management isn't the best it could be better. 
Helping the client is the best and the inability to help is the worst as it may mean a loss (in one way or another) to the client.

The typical day here, is very busy with high volumes of work and pressure, I learned to work the function of multiple people all at once, management is very poor, its a dictatorship environment your voice doesn't matter, the toxic environment is the hardest part of the job, the most enjoyable is when you off work

Resilience is key to keep your job at ER24, ER24 is the complete opposite of what there vision statement says. They have a poor management approach towards staff, pay scale is low and everyone is a doctor know it all at head office. Please refrain from applications there HR is unprofessional.

I have learned a lot at ER24 as I am an employee for 8 years now.
They have treated me good al these years.

We grow a lot each year and the Company do have a good name.

I enjoy my work as I have now one checking on my the hole day.

I have deadlines every month and sometime it's thight as I have to
wait for other people to send me case sheets before I can do my work.

This is a national company, which is owned by Mediclinic International.
As an admin assistant, I spend most of my days generating quotations, post event reports, weekly and monthly stats, Medical Operational Plans and attending VOC (Venue Operations Center) meetings.

ER 24 is not a wonderful company to work for. They provided poor pay and fair benefits to their employees. The is plenty of room to grow within the company although it is very comparative. They also provide great medical exposure. You do work long hours and shift work. The work load is also high often work everyone's duties it's a zoo farm

Working for this company gives me alot of passion to learn more about emergency service.  I'm only longing for a permanent position to be in the field more and learn more. Since it's  my first time working for emergency response service.
