What is the best part of working at the company?
The best part was working with the team I led, and the other learning designers in the other teams.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
There was a big divide between the top executive and the senior managers. The business model remains unsustainable and it was clear it was more about securing grants and getting the money, more than the security of the people who were actually employed to do the work. When the inrealistic targets could not be met, the executives disappeared and started the retrenchment process. This happened twice while I worked there.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It was remote first so the online culture was ok. Nothing to write home about.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful, meeting heavy, unrealistic targets...

The company has started to stabilise after a volatile first year with a lot of retrenchments. 

Pros:
100% remote
No screen tracking
Company equipment (laptop etc.)
High quality courses/content
Continual innovation/evaluation of the product

Cons:
Instability of being a start-up
Bad internal communication (general slow response)
You can easily feel unheard
Not enough honest conflict




It's stressful working there. The staff are great exept many are depressed and disengaged. Top management is disorganised and hypocritical. 

The situation at the company is shocking and disturbing. I really wish I could find something positive to say. But by their own admission for example they have no interest in promoting employment equity whatsoever. 

It is a really great place to work at. They care about your well being, the team is awesome and work well together. You are welcome to ask as many questions as you can if you don't understand something.

Must be able to trouble shoot .

As an intern you will be worked to the bone for very little pay and most likely will not be kept on after internship has ended. The people are great to work with.

Pros - working from home , decent basic salary, opportunities to always learn more
Cons- lack of transparency, racial indifferences, toxic work culture

It’s really a good job you spend days teaching like twice a day but there’s no job security and benefits. Management changes a lot. I have learned  a lot of technical skills
